Ca' Pozzo Inn

Venice City Center Venice|0.07km from Ponte Guglie
This was a reasonably priced property for Venice which a friend recommended. It looked spacious and clean in the pictures. The room was small, serviceable but dark. It has a quite convenient location in the Cannaregio. The hotel suggested we hire a porter at the train station to cart our 5 pieces of luggage- big and small- as we were at the end of a four week trip. We paid him 40 euros plus a 5 euro tip to cart them upstairs to the room since there is no elevator in the building. At least that worked on the way to the hotel. On our last day we had to lug our suitcases down the slippery steps in the rain. Not fun. One of the staff made dinner reservations on Mother’s Day for us and also ordered roses for my husband to give me on my birthday. But there were other staff who didn’t know a lot of helpful tourist information like the water taxi schedule to the airport. We had to pull that information out of the young woman at night who, though very sweet, had very poor English. Why not have that schedule printed and handy for guests? The breakfast was 10 euro. They ran out of scrambled eggs, had no fresh pastry and just doughy white bread. Cappuccino good. Just ate there the first day. No tissues in the room and there was an annoying strobe light that kept going off over the door. I dislike bedspreads that others have used and prefer clean top sheets with duvets. There were a couple of holes in the sheets we had. However the room was clean with no smell. Perhaps we had one of the smaller, less interesting rooms at the inn. Some of the pictures look more spacious. Be sure to ask what you are going to get though. And remember, there is no elevator. As with many hotels, there is only someone on duty 8 am-7:30 pm. We enjoyed our stays at the hotels booked by our weeklong tour and should have searched for a comparable one more befitting of a special birthday.

Alle Guglie Boutique Hotel

Venice City Center Venice|0.07km from Ponte Guglie
Just come home from a 2 night stay here, and thought it was fantastic! The location is incredible, we got the Alilaguna straight from the airport to Guglie stop (15 Euro pp, and Guglie is the 2nd stop on the orange line) we literally got off the stop and walked 30 seconds and were at the hotel, so simple! We walked further down on our second day and realised that the train station is only about a 4 or 5 minute walk aswell so easily accessible however you enter Venice. Rialto bridge is one of the main attractions about a 10 min walk straight down and San marco square another 5-10 mins walk from there. From the outside it doesn't look anything particularly special as you walk in off the street but don't be put off as the hotel is very fresh/modern inside with lovely stlylish decoration throughout! We arrived very early to Venice before our check in time and the hotel kindly have a room for you to store your luggage so you can drop your bags even if your room is not ready yet, there was also a very handy little wash room/ changing room/ toilet in this area too so we freshened up after travelling. Our room itself was very clean, bathroom very modern and clean with shower gels + fresh towels provided. Our room was just the standard room which was a little bit small in length but perfect for us as a couple for 2 nights. At night you can hear suitcases along the cobbled streets at all hours but I think you will get this everywhere in Venice! The staff were exceptionally friendly and gave great advice. There are plenty of restaurants and shops right on your doorstep too. All in all really pleased with our stay especially for the price too, would defo recommend!!

I’ve been to Venice over twenty times and this is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Even though it’s lying on the main drag about ten minutes from the station, the rooms have views of two canals and is utter charming. I had the best room with a huge terrace and loved it. I also had some great talks in Italian with the owner who was a delightful gentleman. To my huge regret, I could only stay for one night. That was a crime towards Venice and this gem of a hotel, so I’ll be back. I simply have to!
Locanda Casa Martini

My wife and I decided to spend some days in Venice at the beginning of the month and to sojourn at Locanda Casa Martini. Usually we do not leave reviews but in this case we make an exception, because Casa Martini was really a great choice! The locanda is very well located. It is neither too close to nor too far from the train station, in a charming ancient building in the neighborhood of Canareggio, nearby the old Jewish Ghetto and just in front of a lively street that leads to the Rialto Bridge in about fifteen minutes by foot. The room where we stayed (a basic one) was pretty, clean, and tidy. In the end however Casa Martini's best asset is its staff: Mr Alberto, his family, and their employees were all very kind and helpful, always available to provide us with support and good advice on restaurants, bacari (Venetian nibbles and wine sellers), scenic spots and museums. We totally recommend Locanda Casa Martini!

Venice City Center
Primarily chosen because of its proximity to the station, but the description, images and positive reviews from other guests contributed to my decision which turned out to be the right one. This beautiful little gem only is only 7 minutes walk from Santa Lucia and is quite immaculate. It could not have been any closer to one of the main canals with a vaporetto stop only steps from the front door and is an ideal base to explore this amazing city - particularly the quieter and beautiful Cannaregio sestiere. My room was extremely comfortable, furnished to a high standard and better equipped than other more expensive properties I have previously stayed in. A wonderful warm welcome from Nicolo and the excellent service I received from he and other members of staff during my short stay guaranteed that I will definitely return to this super hotel in future

Arcadia Boutique Hotel

I have stayed in several Hotels in Venice but the Arcadia Boutique Hotel is my Hotel of choice in Venice! The Hotel is very clean, has very comfortable beds, great A/C, a beautiful bathroom, a very nice breakfast which is served in a lovely lounge with stunning, huge chandeliers and most of all the staff is extremely kind, professional, friendly and helpful. Luigi, Claudio, Nikola and Maurizio (not sure if I got his name right) just to name a few helped with directions, fantastic restaurant recommendations and reservations. The Hotel is very conviniet located, close enough to the train station but yet far enough and yet in fair walking distance to all the attractions. I have stayed at the Arcadia Hotel twice so far and I can't wait to stay there again during my next visit in Venice! I highly recommend it!
