Anybody that reads my hundred plus review will notice I'm very fair and seldom complain But in this case travelers must be warned . The attendants at this once lovely hotel admit they rarely if ever pick up the phone to take reservation then when the call defaults to third party site they have no intention of honoring any arrangement .We were promised and charged in advance for king suite yet when we arrived were told we had ordered a standard room with two queen beds .Being a reasonable person I pointed out that we had been charged for suite and were taking a lesser room we expected a lower rate , at this point the attendant for no reason said I called her ***** and she was calling the cops . WTH I said then she stated ” well you were about to call me a ***** so take the room or leave it and fight the discount out with the third party site .I asked to see the room and she said nope ! in her words I could wait for the manager but most likely they would rent the room before she got in .I asked if I could tenths room on a nightly basis she said nope I could fight that out with Expedia .i asked if I could get a quote for the room to show to Expedia again the answer was nope . When finally did see the manager she was as aggressive as the attendant .Rather than hello she greeted me with ” oh your the guy trying to cause trouble ” She did finally admit I was over paying by 250 dollars a night for the room but would give me no paper work to prove it . Potential customers should also be warned this is a three story hotel with no elevators the main restaurant which is temporarily closed has been fenced off eye sore for over 2 years and the free breakfast is served on the farthest end of the property and in my opinion not worth the walk .I won't say the property is in poor condition as the gardens and rooms are not horrible . The attitude of the staff is appalling and I see?from other reviews my experience isn't uncommon so beware if you don't get a reservation directly from the hotel run from this place they seem to take special pleasure in ripping travelers off .

The rooms look exactly like the internet pictures; very clean and newly updated. Don't let the outside of the building fool you , the price is unbeatable and the room was perfect. Suggestions: rooms need coffee pots, darkening shades for front windows. Property is a five minute drive to the beach and 8 blks from historic downtown Ventura.

The location is easy to find, just across the road is the seaside, just park your car and walk past the hotel. On the first day I drove to the beach, I was charged a parking fee of $10. You must know that the beach was very cold and windy around 6 o'clock. I stayed for an hour at most, and $10 was too expensive. The next day was to go to the beach. The room is large, and the bathroom is especially large. There are toiletries, but no mineral water. The bed is also big enough for a family of three. The breakfast is richer, and the scrambled eggs and bacon areas need to show the hotel meal coupons and someone will help you serve them. The amount is relatively small, and they look unhappy. Not far from the surrounding area, there are Macy’s, Target, a Chinese restaurant. The Chinese food tastes slightly American and a bit sweet. The cost of the three dishes adds up to US$50, which is quite expensive.

Don't worry about safety. The tramp is very common in the United States. It is not near the hotel. It is very convenient to eat around. The steak is delicious. If you can accept the 7-day speed in the country, you can rest assured on the 6th. Stay, the 6th is stronger than the domestic fast, but it is worse than the Jinjiang Star. If you want to live better and don't want to spend too much money, recommend Best Western Best Western, which is better than Jinjiang Star. A little better, I live in Miss Hilton’s house, but the money is much more, and the grades are not much better.

Great location for shopping and eating! Next to the Pacific View Mall making things very convenient. Not too far from the pool hall and local bars either. Room was spacious and had a king size bed. Very comfortable. Bed comforter was clean and comfy. Towels were clean, no stains. The shower heads were very clean. Loved the kitchenette. Very clean. Staff is friendly and management is exceptional! Parking was not a problem and I was able to see my car from the window. AC worked amazing.

Ashley and Daniel are superb people. I was in need of some human kindness and received it today at the Johnson Dr, Ventura, CA Motel 6. I’m a regular at Motel 6 because I travel with two dogs and I know what to expect. So, my 5 star rating is based on my best experience at Motel 6 and 1 star is my worst experience at Motel 6. Motel 6 is an average place to lodge. If you require more, simply pay for an expensive room. What can make a big difference is staff. Ashley and Daniel are such staff people. They still don’t know this but I have a medical condition right now that makes me sensitive to sun and heat and we’re in a record heat wave. Furthermore, I slipped and fell on wet stairs at the beach and came down hard on my tailbone. I just needed AC and a bed. I showed early for the reservation and asked if I could enter the room early too. I’m not a demanding person so if they said it wasn’t possible I can accept that. Ashley and Daniel must’ve noticed I wasn’t feeling well because I didn’t mention it to them like I said above. Nevertheless, they switched me to a room that was available at no charge and even called me in the room to check if everything was ok. I’m appreciative of the little act of humanity they offered me today. Being able to share my experience with you makes me feel better too!
