A beautiful bulding, a splendid location with a calm and tranquil entourage. But: The hotel it’s not prepared for high season, food took ages, to be served, and almost everyday there was something missing on breakfast, due to sold out reasons. The worst FBM they choose to manage this hotel. If the restaurant it’s sold out for dinner, you will not have any chance to get food until 22:30, and the menu at that hour it’s resumed to 3 different types of toasts, that happen to me and my family. We arrive at 20:30 and we where starving, and they refuse to serve food until 22:30, after a bit of reclamation different food from a snack menu was offered. On one of the busiest days in the hotel, the pool bar was closed. It was bank holiday, and the hotel was full. It was a mess to get some food. The rooms are clean, and they are in old monastery rooms. Ours was a mess. We asked for two complementary beds, the most discomfortable ever seen. The room door did not work at all, at front desk they told us, they were expecting a new one. The door didn’t close unless with a key, We asked for an extra key, something normal for 4PAX in the same room, it did work, but only to open not to close from the inside. The bath room with beautiful local marble from the region, it was impossible to take a shower with get a bump in the head, resulting from the falling of the shower from its wall holder. They fixed it by reducing the water pressure, but from that moment on, it was impossible to regulate the water temperature. The cleaning team never left the enough toilet paper, almost every day we need to call for more. Finally the extra beds that I payed for my kids were with a thin mattress and a falling apart estruture with springs getting loose, and a sofa bed also falling apart, that we need to fix every day. One day we arrived lately and found the room door completely open, some one from the cleaning staff, left the door open after cleaning the room, lucky nothing was missing. At the end as compensation they offer a day of one extra bed, around 2,5% discount. The personal at the front desk were always very friendly, collaborative and sympathetic with us and all the events, that happen with us during the stay. It’s not enough being beautiful wen you’re are not efficient or even haven’t the conditions to receive your guests in conformity with the price you demand.
