I had an incredible time during my stay at Magnolia Resort! The property is absolutely stunning as you are surrounded by dense jungle and coffee plants. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with great attention to detail to their design and fast internet connection. I enjoyed delicious food from their on-site Indian and Italian Restaurants and received very attentive service from the staff who were always knowledgeable, happy, and eager to help. During my stay, I took advantage of the many activities offered on the property including a property walk where I learned about the history of the plantation, biking around the vast estate, swimming in the pool which was kept very clean, and a sunrise hike where I got an amazing view of the surrounding jungle. I highly recommend planning a stay at Magnolia and will be sure to come back in the future!

This is a hidden gem in Coorg. I am glad we chose this resort for our family holiday. Right from check in till check out we were treated like family. The views from the rooms are breathtaking. The infinity pool is something you should not miss. My kids had a lovely time. You could just watch the views and do nothing for days. The true essence of this resort is the staff that make you feel special always. Special mention to the Operations Head, Mr. Subramani under whose guidance the entire team takes care of all guests. Special mention to Ashim, Athira, Mandanna and Savitha who gave us that personal touch. They also have daily evening activities and bonfire. Besides they also go to the extent of placing some munchies in the room for guests at no cost. More than the money value, it is the gesture and thoughtful nature that needs to be appreciated. Also the other employees at the restaurant who served with a smile always. I may have missed some names. Unfortunately I do not know everyone's names but all were very courteous and prompt in service. Most importantly everyone has a smile on their face always. Buffet spread is excellent and the food taste was also great. The only suggestion I have is to amend breakfast timings which are very strict and they shut down at 10 AM. People coming to this paradise would like to wake up at ease given the beautiful climate. Ideally it should be 8 AM to 11 AM. However this does not change my overall experience which was excellent. Will recommend this property to all.

We stayed for a night here on our way to devala and it came as a pleasant surprise! Clean rooms and efficient service. Restaurant was okay nothing to complain about. We were travelling in our electric car and a charger was installed the previous night. Though it could be useful we couldn't charge the car fully as it was raining and there were frequent powercuts. But the staff were very helpful.

Tamara, Coorg had been on my mind for several years and what better occasion than our honeymoon to explore the gem of a place Tamara is. Full of pure nature with lush green surroundings, chirping of birds and air full of loads of oxygen, the serenity of the resort helped my mind become still and brought a sense of peace within. Akshay from the reservations ensured our booking was a breeze. Preethy from Guest Relations, ensured we had everything we needed for our stay, was available at all times, and made us feel welcome and cared for, throughout our stay. The greeting of 'Namaste” from all staff members with a genuine smile, not only brought a smile on our faces, but also made us happy within. One of the greatest assets of Tamara, is The Falls, their restaurant, and the staff working there. Shivam from The Falls, has one of the best hospitalities we have seen. He not only ensured that our food preferences were met, but also pro-actively planned our preferred food choices for upcoming meals. Sourav, Shilpa and Ester, all from The Falls, have been exceptional and ensured we had the best experience while dining. We even received a call if we were late for our lunch or dinner. The guide for the Plantation tour & Blossom to Brew, was so knowledgeable, and completely changed how we looked at coffee. The Coffee Scrub Workshop was an eye-opener for us and we have surely taken a lot of tips and knowledge from that session. Overall, we felt the resort is truly a place where nature and luxurious living co-exist in perfect harmony. There is something so positive about the energy of the place, that we had some of the best sleeps we ever had, there. The sound of the waterfalls within the resort premises, add to the tranquility of the surroundings and help one truly relax. The coffee fragrance in the room amenities is something we cannot forget. We could relax, walk, be in nature, sleep well, eat amazingly exceptional food, get buggy rides, learn so much about coffee, and of course take some cool pictures. Truly an exceptional stay. Well done, Tamara, Coorg. We are definitely coming back.

If you're looking for a good place to stay in coorg, this location is excellent, nestled deep in the forest. However, it is quite far from madikeri city, about 12 km away, which can be inconvenient if you plan to explore different places in coorg. Most attractions are close to madikeri main city, so you’ll need to travel there frequently. This place is ideal if you want to relax and enjoy the serene environment. They have an in-house restaurant, but the food is just okay and the prices are quite high. Additionally, the reception is often unattended, requiring you to search for the staff. On the positive side, the rooms are good and clean, and the view from the room is amazing.

THE GOOD - Property is expansive, lush green and beautiful - Room service is quick and diligent - Spa is quite good - Accessing the resort is convenient THE BAD - Noisy rooms (101 &201). In such a tranquil environment its a shame that the music plays on loudspeaker or PA for the restaurant (till 10:30pm), gym (starts at 6AM) and other guest (at least around us) are loud. Staff tried to solve the noise issue but failed (writing this review at 10PM, it's still the same). Manager, although super nice gave his word to solve the problem (also offered room change and upgrade but we didn't take) but failed! Actually during the day they have quad bikes going up and down so even the far flung cottages/rooms are also not removed from this issue I'd imagine. - Staff are truly doing their best, they're even trained well but they lack the polish that a hotel demanding this price and exuding the 5-star-ness has. It's a mile away from Taj, priced in similar zone. - Buffet dining seems ordinary and food mediocre (even though they had a lot of options). It was relatively better when the propert was full and very bad when the property has low traffic. We witnessed this over our 2 night stay here, was interesting to notice! - It's not a brand I can (or anyone should IMO) give another shot, it's a hit or miss, for us it's a miss. We wont be coming here again. A Marriott, Hyatt or Taj one can expect to uphold and meet the set expectation. Here our expectations were very high as advertised (and charged) but what we witnessed was subpar.
