Maui Banyan Vacation Club

The room was clean. it is very close to the ocean. the pool is small and there are no ramps. or elevators. so you are carrying your luggage up and down lots of stairs. also, this is two properties. if you rented from Maui Banyan, you have to make a call, even to get another towel. it is still very nice due to the beach being right across the street and a beautiful swimming beach.

The unit I was in (T102A) was older but kept extremely clean. I don’t usually like carpet in a rental but this one was clean. So close to the beach and restaurants. Great pool!

Hotel location is great! Close to food and shops and beach directly across the street. My only complaint would be the overwhelming musty smell. We bought air fresheners to try to help dampen it but barely worked. The room was clean and functional otherwise.

There is a confusing mix of privately owned units and units managed by the on scene hotel property so some of the details for check in and contacts while you're there are hard to figure out, but otherwise this is a great place right on the beach and near several shopping, dining, and bar options

what a beautiful property. such an amazing resort and it made me feel lie home. I hope one day i’ll be back ro this resort

Upon entering the suite for the first time we were happy to see the cleanliness of the whole suite, quality of the furnishings, and how well the kitchen was equipped. The bed was very comfortable and it was like a garden outside the windows. The patio had furniture and was very nice. We were in unit F101 which is the first unit next to the street. We were concerned about street noise if we left the windows open, but by 10P each night almost all the noise was gone and we were able to sleep without the automobile noise bothering us. One morning we did notice some extremely small ants marching along the top of the backsplash in the kitchen, but it is a ground floor unit in Hawaii so it was not a surprise. We put some hand soap where we saw them on the wall and that stopped the problem. There were none in any food and we did not see any on the countertop or island. The only problem was parking. Many of the spaces are marked as owner only meaning that if we arrived back at the resort too late we had to drive around looking for a spot. Even the garage had many spots marked with owner only. We were always able to find a spot and the walk was not that far from the building, it only took approximately 5 minutes to walk the distance. Overall, it was quite pleasant to stay there and the location is great, I recommend it.

This is overpriced for what it is, its basically a hotel room that you are supposed to sreip the beds and get rid of your own rubbish from. I am happy to do that in an airbnb, but not this kind of place. There was supposed to be a checkout procedure in the room but mine didnt have one, so it was only luck that the lady on reception mentioned something in conversation. My door did not lock on arrival - it would shut but if you pushed it from the outside it opened, so while this was mended pretty quick, I had to wait until it was fixed before I could leave my things in there. TV was unreliable, kept switching to a network that wasn't there, so you couldn't watch it, when I mentioned it to the guy fixing my lock he tutted at me and said I shouldn't have touched the buttons |!! he fixed it so quick that I didn't know what he did and couldn't fix it myself the next time. Its a good location but what you get is not reflected in what you pay.

Maui Banyan Vacation Club is an older resort on Maui but it is maintained adequately to make it a nice place to stay. We stayed at a unit that we found through RCI, but it wasn't an exchange unit rather it was a rental unit. Clean inside and out but dated. It was adequately stocked though. We might stay there again as it was close to the beach.

Check in was friendly and easy. The rooms were very clean with all of the tools you need. I would have lights available water as the soda machine did not carry water. Also, the temporary parking for check-in was full when I got there and there was nowhere else to park for check-in. Overnight parking was limited as well since most of the spots are reserved for owners. Otherwise it was a good property and I would recommend it to somebody.
