This stay was hindered by the lift being out of order for the 4 days we were there. The room was spotless as usual, we had a room at the rear of the hotel which suited us better it was quieter. There was quite a few inconsiderate guests this visit, it is Christmas so we expected some party goers but noisy good-night and plans made to meet for breakfast from 12.30 through to 4am stopped any hope of sleep. The other three nights were fine as usual. There was also an issue parking due to a Christmas party. Hotel patrons should have priority, perhaps each room having parking allocation would help. We will be staying again in the not to distant future as the location is ideal for us.

I travel to Wakefield for business 2/3 nights a week & I stayed here after a disastrous stay at Citylodge hotel, which I would steer clear from for eternity. So Limes Lodge seemed like a castle in comparison - I liked the historic building, the bed was comfortable, the room clean, good transport links & the area felt space although not close to town, but walkable. I paid £65/night. A few glitches - the noise from the M62 is very considerable if you like to keep your windows open at night, so I had to close them to be able to sleep. The bathroom was chilly one of the mornings, and I couldn't see any way to activate the radiator. When you check-out, you leave the keys in an open basket by reception - so anyone could take it & mess up the room, which you could then be blamed for later - this didn't happen, but it does seem like they need to change the way people check out. The fire alarm sounded early in the morning on my second night & the fire brigade attended and was apparently caused by a known problem with a fire door, so clearly an ongoing maintenance issue that ruined everyone's sleep. I would stay here again but be mindful of the above.

We are a couple celebrating our wedding anniversary. We pre booked our table for 7,30pm. We got there a bit early, but were able to be seated straight away. We were in Henry 111 restaurant. We were very impressed with the service we got from our waitress and others. I asked for no tomato and no onions on my burger, and that was clearly noted. The food was well presented and very tasty. We would definitely recommend it to everyone. We got married here, so to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary was a very special evening.

Got a Groupon deal at only £79 for a double en-suite with breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco. The reception staff were very helpful and even got a free upgrade with a nicer room including soft drinks and 2 Kit Kats with great views overlooking the canal and late check out too. We parked nearby at Leeds dock about 10 minutes walk away as we have done before at a reduced rate of £8 for 24 hours. Nice modern hotel in a great location with free quick wifi and close to Leeds city centre with a couple of bars on the doorstep.

We had an overnight stay during our visit to Yorkshire and Peak District area. The reason that we chose this hotel is because it had 3 people rooms and it was part of the Accor All program. While being a budget hotel and providing rooms for three people to share, the rooms are very small and quite uncomfortable. If you want a budget short-stay, it is an option but I'm sure you can find more comfortable stays at a premier inn. Location wise, it was at ok distance to city centre however parking was hard to find and overnight parking expensive. HINT: Use the NCP parking nearby and the hotel can provide a validation that will give you a discount of 11£ (still I paid 9£). Here are some details: Welcome: The staff were helpful and attentive. However, there was no recognition of Accor All program status. They didn't provide any welcome drinks and no room upgrades could be offered since it is a standard room hotel. Rooms: The beds are comfortable but everything apart from that is uncomfortable. For three people rooms, the hotel has bunk beds which is hard to climb. There is nowhere to move in the room. The toilet is just a small cabin where you have no place to move and there is no bathroom, just a shower in the middle of the room. The sinks are in the room. Anything more than 1 night would be impossible for us. Hotel: It is an aged building and it is obvious at every corner. The elevators are smelly. The reception area is not inviting. Location: The hotel is central and a short walk to Leeds city centre. However, there is no free parking around. Park at NCP car park and the hotel will provide an 11£ discount voucher. Breakfast: They provide a basic breakfast with some cold food and sausage/bacon options. No eggs. The coffee wasn't great. It was affordable (6£ per person) but it is nothing notable. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. They helped us to find some extra pillows at night when we found out that only 1 was provided even though there was a special request for extra pillows in our reservation. Overall, I would not want to stay here again even though it provides all the necessities. This is mainly because the rooms were very small and claustrophobic and the hotel was quite aged. Apart from that, if you are looking for a good-value stay near Leeds, it could be an option.

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel and found the room to be really comfortable, the staff really friendly and helpful, and the food was really excellent. We didn't use the spa facilities as always arrived too late but the pool looked really inviting. Location was also good as just a few minutes off the M1. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel.

We booked a twin accessible room using IHG points. When we checked in we were told it is not available - its been allocated to someone else. It was a very fraught check in - husband wanted to punch someone & I was on the verge of tears. Why do they think we booked an accessible room - for fun???? I NEED an accessible room because I am disabled. We were also 2.5 hours from home. To give him his due Jay on reception asked us to wait while he checked things out. He offered us a drink from the bar but as hubby thought we might have to drive home he refused. We also had plans with son to go out to eat that evening. Eventually Jay said he had a double accessible room which we gratefully accepted. The window in the room, was in full sun, did not even open a crack which on a day where temps had reached 34 degrees was not ideal. We rang reception and they said they would get us a fan, which then had an electrical fault and only worked if you wiggled the wire - not ideal and pretty dangerous in my opinion. The ‘included breakfast” was a joke as we were told there was nothing hot but a continental breakfast. As a T1 diabetic who counts carbs croissants, muffins, cereal is not ideal so it was just banana for me. As the hotel was full it was also very busy and no tables available - took my banana and bailed out. Car park was close by & a reasonable price. There were a couple of restaurants close by. Aircon in the bar was lovely and the complimentary glass of wine was very good. It was quiet during the night and the accessible bathroom was great. I still can’t believe that they allow you to book an accessible room then give it to other customers.

GGuest UserAll of the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly during my stay which added to the experience. The hotel is truly lovely and the setting is beautiful. The rooms are well appointed and the views from the rooms and bar were amazing but it’s the high level of customer service that makes me want to return and recommend this hotel as a place to stay in Wakefield.

GGuest UserI found this hotel very clean and the staff were very friendly. I had a top floor room and had no issue with noise but there is a sign saying ear plugs are available at reception if required. Bathroom had a lovely large walk in shower but was missing a soap dispenser by the sink (wall fitting were there but no unit). Could also do with slightly bigger towels. Breakfast was lovely, and although you book a time slot on arrival, it wasn't busy and I didn't feel rushed. They have a small bar area and I was surprised when we came back from the theatre and decided to have a drink, they don't have lemonade the only soft drink option was coke or diet coke. Would happily stay again next time I have a theatre trip.

GGuest UserThe pub and the room themselves are lovely.  We were served by a man behind the bar who greeted us with ‘what’s the name?’ He then couldn’t find the booking as he didn’t have the correct apps from which we booked through…continued to say we wasn’t booked even though proof of booking was given.  His approach changed as soon as he realised he was in the wrong, showed us to the room where we found it wasn’t what I had payed for. I booked a king size bed with two singles, was given a room with just two singles. The bathroom had hairs everywhere and hardly any toilet roll. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned and replenished. When we returned back to the room later on in the evening the room was extremely warm, tried to adjust the heating where we discovered it was only able to be changed by the bar downstairs. The bar closed at 10pm to which afterwards there was no staff on the premises. Either be too hot or open the window and have the loud noises from a main road. Couldn’t win either way.  As mentioned very nicely decorated rooms but issues throughout.

GGuest UserExcellent hotel the staff were helpful and attentive. Very clean room with air conditioning which was needed as it was a very hot day, with tea making facilities and even biscuits as a kind gesture. Would recommend staying here and will no doubt book in again. Bar had a range of beers and a good selection of draughts as well as spirits available to choose from. There was ample parking round the back of the hotel. Just don't forget to put your vehicle registration at check in. All in all a good stay.

GGuest UserOn Friday 8th July, we were booked for three nights at the Campinile Wakefield. We have stayed at this hotel before & whilst it's not the best, it's handy for work stayovers. Arriving on the Friday night (8th), We immediately noticed that a lot of Motor bikes were parked up in the hotel car park, not an issue apart from the fact the bikes were all occupying car bays which I felt was totally inconsiderate & we were lucky to get a space. More annoyingly, the back end of the car park was closed off for no visible reason which was ridiculous when the hotel was so busy. We collected our keys which was after 2100hrs, taking the first flight of outdoor stairs, we noticed large groups of males all over the walk ways, talking loud, smoking & shouting. Once in our room, showered & unpacked , we could clearly hear the noise from outside on the walkway below. We rang reception twice this night, the noise was unacceptable, their security came over twice. So onto the saturday night, again returning from work after 2100hrs these groups of males again outside shouting, smoking & watching stuff on their laptops. Another of our friends who was staying over, went to reception to complain, the receptionist said Security would come over, the noise continued and when we went to see what was happening, unbelievably, the Security were stood with the males, all watching a boxing match on a laptop, laughing & carrying on, when asked why the house was still going on, we were told there was only a few rounds left, not acceptable from security. We've never experienced anything like it, absolutely disgusting and no consideration for anyone else in the hotel. Returning on the Sunday evening, we noticed the males were using the closed off area of the car park to play football. No idea what goes on at this hotel but it's a disgrace and I guarantee they have lost our custom. Would we recommend this hotel, 100% NO.
