Dormy Inn Wakkanai Reviews

I like Dormy Inn in most places, but I think this one is one of the better one. Room are relatively larger than other places, breakfast is good (most other Dormy inn are also good) and I think the Onsen is one of the best I’ve been to.

Excellent hotel nearby JR Wakkanai station. Hotel has a hot spring onsen as well. However, on my last night, although the hotel promised new towels when you chose not to clean the room, they did not provide new towels.

This was a last minute booking as I cancelled the booking for another hotel by mistake and did not realise until I was at the other hotel itself. Dormy Inn is very convenient, less than 8 minutes to JR Wakkanai. The rooms are quite small and sparsely furnished but still comfortable for our family. Enough power plugs all over the room but no UDB charging points so remember to bring your travel adapters. What the room lacks in amenities, the facilities more than make up for it. There is FREE ramen every night from 9.30pm at the hotel restaurant, so we simply bought a some food from the seica mart at JR wakkanai and eat before the restaurant opens at night. On top of this, there is of course the roof top onsen. We like in particular the outdoor part of the onsen where you can enjoy the snow falling onto you while you soak in the pool. After the onsen bath you can help yourself to the free ice cream outside the men's and ladies' onsen. There is also a small manga library between these 2 onsens too. We loved our stay here and will be glad to stay here again if we go to wakkanai again.

Staff are friendly and the breakfast is one of the best in Wakkanai. Good location too!

Great stay. Room was very clean and they have a lovely and stylish onsen on the 10th floor. They gave us a complementary dessert with the room.

We had a great experience. Even though the website and the confirmation email said kids are not allowed, our family of three (9 year old kid) was welcomed heartily. The kid was even given a kid size slipper and other goodies. The on-site Onsen was excellent. Rooms were nice and clean with great view. Hotel staff were kind, professional and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Wakkanai!

A very good hot spring （Indoor and outdoor）. They are located on Top floor Which is beautiful. You got a Free ice bal and milkl， You could get Free noodles at night as well.， Very convenient.

The place was perfect for me. Its located in a great location to move around Wakkania and sight see.

We stayed for one night as a family of three. It had just been renovated and left a very clean impression. The bath on the top floor was a hot spring, and the view from the open-air bath was of the ocean amid falling snow. The sauna had an auto-loyly, and we were able to sweat comfortably and soothe the fatigue of our long journey. Of course, the midnight noodles and seafood bowls in the morning were the best. The front desk was also very responsive. This is a hotel we would like to use again.

The hotel is exactly the same as the Dormy Inn I stayed in Nagano before. There are not many hotels to choose from in Wakkanai. I chose this one for the convenience of transportation. It is average. There is a small hot spring on the rooftop, which is a bit crowded. The ramen and breakfast in the evening are not bad.
