Comfort Inn Warner Robins - Robins Air Force Base Area

This hotel ruined our trip from the very first second. We entered the room and the smell hit us from the door. Some kind of disinfectant of some sort, meant probably to cover other smells. The room was cold so we wanted to warm it up a little, but when we set the temperature at 70 degrees, a bunch of cockroaches showed up. We went to the Front Desk and told them what happened. The young lady was surprised to hear that (later on I found out she was a new hire), but the manager dod not even blink. He checked us out right away. No apologies, not even the slightest effort to try and find us another room. So, here's how we ended up looking for a hotel room in Warner Robins at 10pm. The next morning, our son was to compete in a swim competition, early in the morning.

Been here last year. Think it is time for some upgrades. The staff is very nice but, the room was so dark not enough lights. The toilet keeps running and is very rusty inside. The breakfast has also gone downhill. Not always sausage and biscuits. Eggs were cold one morning and then they ran out of everything on Sunday. Very close to all the restaurants. Bikers were there the weekend we stayed nosey but, very nice. Even offered a ride on one LOL. With so many motels to choose from better upgrade soon. Price is good.

I am a Choice hotel member and have stayed MANY times over the years with this chain. This is absolutely my WORST experience with ANY Choice hotel. I was stunned at how dirty the property is and the level of professionalism from the staff. I was booked for 4 days and checked out the next morning. I was billed an "early departure" fee.

Originally, this was the better choice locally during our last trip this way. The only downside before was a huge pothole that ate up one of the convenient parking spaces. It has been fixed since then(!) but this hotel is badly in need of an overall facelift. Lady at reception desk was friendly but not a great reflection on staffing with her tank top and shorts, mostly sitting on the curb, smoking. The rooms smelled musty and needed a good cleaning. Bathroom was fairly clean. Breakfast room was minimal and the real downside was the construction workers staying there, playing loud music and yelling, running around until about 2AM. Asked reception why no local channels had sound, she said their cable contract did not include them, so if closed captioning was used, you could read the dialog. Wow . . .

I reserved 4 nights for the July 4th weekend 2022 thru Choice Hotels website. Arrived 11 pm and was tired after 350 mile drive. The darkest parking lot and area around the hotel gave me suspicion, then I entered the room. From the heavy dust on furniture to large splatter stained wall to some kind of piece of meat on the tv remote to dirty toilet to soap scum in shower to big fake eyelash on the floor to stained carpet to coins and dead roach on floor. The next morning I asked for a manager but he wasn't on site. I told them the room was unacceptable and I was going to go somewhere else. I was charged a $27 early check out fee and a higher rate for the one night. I emailed the manager specifying the room conditions and asked for a refund only to receive a generic, "Thank you for bringing to our attention we will try to do better..." response. I'm not a super picky person and can roll with an occasional oversight but this hotel obviously has issues beyond poor housekeeping. Also lots of trash in the parking lot and the only July 4th pool action going on was sticks and plant debris & odd foam floating and overturned chairs. Closed. Couldn't be more disappointed with my experience with this Choice hotel. After the no refund on the early check out fee I decided to post my review and inform corporate. Gonna cost this place more than 27 bucks. Management is just flat stupid here. Bad business.

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from a Florida trip. The ratings were pretty good so we thought we’d stay here. Upon arrival we were given a room on the second floor. A king size room. The room was pretty rundown and hadn’t been updated. The bathroom was decent. We tried to turn on the TV to watch just the normal channels ABC NBC CBS. None of them worked you could see the picture but there were no words, it was silent. We tried to get help from the front desk and the girl working that night was very hard to locate. I went down and she was actually on her cell phone doing a selfie and maybe some kind of a video and she was standing on the customer side of the counter. The reason I mention this is I tried calling and did not get an answer from the front desk so that is why I went out of my room and down to find her on the opposite side of the counter not paying attention to the phone ringing in the office. I do have to say that she did offer me a couple other rooms to see if the TV would work and it wouldn’t work in either one of them so we did stay in the first assigned room. The pillows in the room were nice the bed was decent not the best. My experience there was not a very good one so not sure if I’d stay there again.

Multiple problems that are likely related to the staff (with a possible exception here and there), as my stay here nearly two years ago was nowhere near this bad. TLDR: I would not recommend this location, especially if you have to leave early in the morning or check out early. I would either pay a bit extra for the sister hotel not far from there or stay out of town. Also, bring your own soap and breakfast if you not heed this warning. My room initially did not have soap bars (I had to ask the front desk for some). When my room was cleaned, my unopened package of spare soap was removed, and my friend did not have his soap replenished. When we both went downstairs to ask about soap, we were told that they were out of soap. How a hotel that is supposedly rated nearly 4 stars on this website can not have soap (even if it is generally a 2 star hotel) is beyond me. Either what they say is true, or someone is stealing soap when they are cleaning. Regarding the cleaning policy in place here, my friend/colleague apparently did not have a sign regarding the cleaning policy in his room (which my room did), so he was unaware of a default policy of cleaning linen ever third day of stay. He had his own problems separate from mine that he may be writing a review of his own later. The room itself was ok, but the AC unit was a bit loud. The wifi is useable, but the initial connection seems to be somewhat spotty for all of their available networks. The back door of the hotel also remained unlocked 24/7 (you can get in without using a room card), so that was not exactly a comforting thought during my stay. Their breakfast time is supposed to be at 6:00 AM; however, during the week days, the person in charge of preparing the breakfast items only seems to start preparing the options at 6:00 AM (when he is not watching TV in the breakfast area anyway). There were definitely cases where not all of the hot breakfast items were not ready before 6:30 AM, when we unfortunately needed to try to get on the road. On weekends, we did not experience this problem whatsoever with a different person preparing the breakfast then, so there is clearly a staff problem on weekdays. I don’t expect anything spectacular at hotels when it comes to breakfast, but it should be expected to have everything (or mostly ready) by their specified time. One other thing to note is that their coffee cups do not have caps for traveling, so don’t forget your travel cup if you intend on staying here. While I certainly did not book the hotel for its pool, I noted that is was as green as the Green Goblin. Granted, they might say this is due to COVID restrictions, but with such restrictions being relaxed across the country, I think this is due to other issues with this hotel. If you are self conscious about using exercise rooms in a hotel or in general (also not a reason I initially chose this hotel), I think you might have a good reason to be with this room. The pluses: a big room, comfortable new feeling beds, polite respectful staff, quiet neighborhood The minuses: tired and worn room furnishings, mostly clean, but poorly maintained room, moldy/mildewed shower curtain and grout, broken or missing appliances, broken toilet flapper. Bathroom door bottom edge rotted and water damaged, wi-fi constantly cutting out. Neutrals: A few miles off the Highway, limited parking in the front of the property, breakfast meh—no fresh fruit such as a banana or an apple Bottom line—maybe a good value because of the great bed and generous room size, but next time I’ll pay $20-25 more to not feel uncomfortable. Lots of deferred capital.
