Hotel was very clean with fresh mordern decor,parking out side hotel for a few cars, but there is a large carpark(free till 10 am)across the road. Room clean and very spacious, breakfast was good with plenty of options.The host (Micheal)was attentive and very help. Shall be staying again. Thankyou

Stayed in one of the signature room, it was a good size and very comfortable, rain shower was excellent and the Prosecco and chocolates were a nice touch. The breakfast was amazing and Michael the host very welcoming, informative and helpful. Also the hotel is in a great location, short walk to the seafront and town centre.

From start to finish our stay was amazing, wish we could have stayed longer.
Great electronic communication, and excellent in person customer service too.
Room was lovely, bed & shower great. Breakfast was next level, with a fantastic choice of continental & cooked choices. The homemade biscuits were a lovely evening snack too 🙂!
It is going to be hard to best. Definitely recommend!

Returned to this superb little treasure Good welcome on arrival Given fabulous room large refurbished room tastefully decorated Given wine and chocolates on arrival which was a special gesture Good sleep Breakfast wonderful Definitely will be back especially after a night in the grand hotel tynemouth what a let down but I it was chosen due to walking from a friends party Was worth the money

Lovely room with fridge, microwave, sparkling wine, chocolates, dressing gowns. Also a wonderful and friendly host, excellent breakfast, really good location plus some free parking available. Would recommend York House without hesitation. To be honest, however, despite giving 5 stars, a more accurate rating would be 4.5 if that was possible. Niggly things, and nothing that would justify Michael of York House losing a star. My main quibble would be no daily room cleaning despite paying almost £160 per night for the room. I would say that this is a very high quality guest house, as opposed to a hotel. To be fair, I did find this in their terms and conditions, which I should have read before travelling.
