The front desk service of the hotel is first-class. The front desk, housekeeping and parking staff are polite and proactive in providing assistance. The interior of the room is very tidy. The hotel upgraded the QUEEN BED suite for us on this trip. We were overjoyed. We stayed for two nights in total Meals in the hotel, the food and service quality of the hotel restaurant at dinner time are very high, and the service and food selection at breakfast time are not so good, which makes the overall score drop slightly. Staying in this hotel with a history of more than 200 years made us stay in the National Day holiday of the United States leave good memories

Super disappointed in how rundown this place is. Booked a suite. Got to the room and there as no heat. The maintenance man said it was broken and had been, along with several other rooms. The front desk said it was unaware of the problems. The maintenance man suggested we try to get by with heat from the fireplace. The curtains were hanging off the rod and didn’t close. Giant stain on the sofa. So we asked to move. The second room at least had heat but the curtains were hanging off the rods and wouldn’t close. Went to the restaurant at 7:30 pm on a Friday. Not one person. The owner needs to spend money to install new functioning drapes and carpet, and replace hardware in the bathrooms.

The Cliff House is a lovely historic hotel nestled in the tourist section of Manitou Springs, Colorado. We were stopping in Manitou to tackle the Manitou Incline, so our two night stay was perfect! The wonderful staff were all welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Our Deluxe King Suite was very comfortable. The fireplace made the room very cozy on cold mornings & chilly evenings. We also appreciated two comfortable chairs in the room so that we didn't have to sit on the bed while spending time in the room. The period furnishings are so appealing, but some are definitely showing signs of wear (Room #215). We also had a pleasant, relaxing dinner in the Cliff House Restaurant. Thanks for a lovely stay in Manitou Springs!

I really loved this hotel! I would like to give it 4.8 stars, but the star system doesn't allow. 0.2 stars less, as I found the servicing of my room by staff was not consistent.
I highly recommend drinks of the porch and dinner there (I did not eat breakfast or lunch there).
