The cabins are well maintained and well equipped with projectors and screens, and they all have retractable roof sections so you can star gaze at night from your bed. The bar is superb! Wonderful views over the grasslands, and with a great selection of drinks. It is a family run place, and they are very friendly and speak English which was great. They were extremely helpful with many things. We wanted to extend our stay.

The Chaka Evening Hotel is new and all facilities are in very good conditions. The hotel is located in a new commerce area in Chaka which has the clear ambition to develop more business. However, there is not much around this area and most fields are empty or under construction. Chaka Lake is a beautiful spot but the city is not so attractive. So also the hotel is not having any good spots around it. We also took the dinner in the hotel. The breakfast is okay but typical Chinese but they didn’t provided hot water for tea or a coffee. The staff is friendly and they provided extra heater and humidifiers for the cold nights. Overall, the hotel is a good choice if you stay in Chaka to recharge your batteries but it’s also good to move on after the stay.
