As a seasoned tourism professional, I've stayed in many guesthouses of varying standards, but Shanshuge Natural Beauty Guesthouse truly left a lasting impression. Located within the Huangling Scenic Area, its location is incredibly convenient; you can walk directly to the scenic area without needing to buy a separate cable car ticket. The guesthouse is clean and tidy, with thoughtful touches in the bedding and toiletries, demonstrating the owner's dedication. Staying at Shanshuge means you won't need to go out to find food; the owner's wife is an excellent cook, serving delicious meals. Recommended dishes include: Malan dried tofu, small river fish, stir-fried yellow beef, and free-range chicken soup (the portions are generous, so order only what you need). All four of my meals in Huangling were taken care of at the guesthouse. The owner is very welcoming and personally provides transportation (and his tricycle driving skills are impeccable—truly a master driver!), a unique experience worth experiencing and one that will leave a lasting impression. Therefore, when traveling to Huangling, staying at Shanshuge Natural Beauty Guesthouse will definitely be worthwhile!

I came here based on the reviews, and I definitely made the right choice. Service: We parked our car at the door, and the owner picked us up on his motorcycle. Riding the motorcycle was the kids' favorite; the owner's driving skills are amazing, so exciting! 😁 The guesthouse has food, which is quite good, especially the fried egg noodles for breakfast—so comforting and satisfying. Cleanliness: It seems to be a newly opened guesthouse; it's very clean and the bedding is also clean. Environment: The village is located halfway up a mountain. The owner will take you to the ticket gate of Huangling Scenic Area. Once inside, you can directly cross the iron bridge or zipline, saving you the cable car fee. When you return from your visit, the owner will pick you up at the village entrance.

The B&B is very new, built in 2024. The owner and his wife were very welcoming, helping with luggage and arranging a car to pick us up at the station. A taxi from the station would have cost over 150, but the owner helped share a car, and each person only paid 30. The B&B is halfway up the mountain, so you don't have to take the cable car. I went to a nearby shop to get some makeup and take pictures of the village girls at the scenic spots.

We went two days before National Day. It was excellent value for money. The room was well-equipped and comfortable, just the style I liked. The hostess was very welcoming, helping me get a taxi and providing travel tips. The farmhouse dishes were excellent, using local ingredients and were delicious. Since we stayed halfway up the mountain, we saved on the cable car fare. It was a great experience, immersing ourselves in the local culture and local customs. It was amazing.
