Xiamen Jianghai Yuan Hotel (Zhongshan Road Bashi Ferry Branch) Reviews

This place is all about location! Out of lobby, road junction turn left and you are at Ba Shi (八市) and turning right you are heading towards Zhongshan Road pedestrian walk (中山路步行街）. It was easy to hail a taxi in front of the hotel too. Airport is around 20-40mins away to the hotel. Once out of the hotel, there is food aplenty and a 7-11 just across the junction. The front desk staffs are all friendly and willing to help and a pleasure to chat with. Rooms are small but clean and the cleaning lady is a delight as well. Always with a smile when I see her. I enjoyed the washer and dryer amenity as I was there for a week and washing powder / detergent is provided. Open from 9am - 10pm. I do find the window view not much of a view. This is the old district, so buildings are looking their age. The toilet flushing is quite loud and if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. My mom enjoyed the firm bed whilst I would have preferred a softer one. Photos on website are the same as what you see. I attach photo of washer, my window view （I see another window) and view from rooftop access. Will return if I visit Xiamen again. 谢谢大家殷勤招待！

Very convenient places, easy to find food, and easy to walk to pedestrian street. I will book again if going to Xiamen. Clean rooms with provided one time used tooth brush, tooth paste, slippers.

The hotel is located near Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street. The handsome guy at the front desk also helped me upgrade the room type for free. Turn left and you will see Gulangyu Island opposite. Although the room I stayed in was small, the price was quite reasonable, very clean, and close to Zhongshan Road and the Eighth Market. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, the housekeeper is polite and service-minded, and I feel at ease living alone.

The front desk of the Shangri-La Hotel delayed my check-out until two o’clock the night before. However, I still used my points to redeem my check-out at this small hotel for two o’clock. Dian said that because there are customers checking in at 12 o'clock, are we not customers? This service really makes people complain. I didn’t see the so-called afternoon tea, so that’s it.
