Yokohama Mandarin Hotel

It was a little walk from Sakuragimachi station, but it was convenient because there were many restaurants nearby to Hidemachi station and Nohae. I think the entrance is clean and cheap and the front desk is good. The room has card key, old, but the room and unit bus are not narrow, and it is inconvenient that there is no outlet near the bed. I also saw a little Landes mark tower because of the height.

We booked a Standard Double Room and were upgraded to a Club King as Bonvoy Platinum members. Our first impressions of the hotel were big, beautiful, convenient, but with minimal and stingy service. The Club King room was very nice, modern, quite large with a sofa and desk, and spacious bath. And very clean with lots of amenities. Bed was excellent. Location is very good with direct access to the station, shops, restaurants, and Takashimaya Department Store. Platinum Elite members can check in at the Club Lounge. The lounge is not too large, and I imagine it being very busy on weekends or holidays. Refreshments throughout the day are extremely minimal, just drinks and very light snacks like cookies and crackers (I would definitely not describe this as ”afternoon hors d’oeuvres” as stated on their website). The evening cocktail service is a bit more expansive with salad, 4-5 hot dishes, and dessert. I requested something vegetarian as there was nothing besides salad, and they were able to prepare a steamed vegetable plate and tiny fruit plate which were delicious but not filling, and nothing compared to the regular options available. When asked if it might be possible to prepare a main dish (something with more carbs), I was told they could either give me plain white rice or plain penne pasta with no sauce, I was told to add salt and pepper for flavor. Seriously? Would anyone feel pleased with such an offering? I obviously refused, and was left with a bitter feeling for the rest of our stay. Note that this property does not acknowledge the Marriott Platinum “Guaranteed 4 p.m. Late Checkout” benefit. We stayed on a Sunday, checking out the following Monday (not a holiday, and definitely not a peak day) but were denied late check out, only given 1:00. For a previous reservation, once again checking out on a non-peak Monday, we were also completely denied late check out (only standard 12:00 check out). To the Management of the Yokohama Bay Sheraton Hotel & Towers, I have a simple question, do you offer 4 p.m. late check-out to your Platinum Members? This is a major deciding factor for Platinum Members in choosing your hotel. Breakfast was not available in the Club Lounge, but in the buffet restaurant Compass. (Another clear indication that the Club Floor was not very busy, so why no late check out?) Breakfast here was nice, not an expansive selection, but a decent selection of both Japanese and Western dishes (but few or no vegetarian options). The orange juicer machine was especially good. Overall, this is a very nice hotel, but it does not feel like a Sheraton property as they deny Bonvoy Elite benefits when they see fit, and the service is not that of an international hotel. Elite Members are not treated as such. It feels more like a Japanese hotel that’s a step or two behind international standards. I really hope things improve as the hotel itself is very nice and we’d like to visit Yokohama again soon.

I can use it for 12 hours after entering, so I use it here when I check in late. It is good to have 24 hours of rice and tea. It is always clean, such as bath toilet. The staff was very good when the next person was noisy and noisy. I called once again and then I called for a while, but the staff was immediately calling. I think I was looking at the situation for a while. It is because of that, but I use it several times, but I have never been troubled by sound.

Location is good, about 10 ~ 15 minutes walk from Sekiuchi Station. It is convenient because there are shopping streets and supermarkets in front of you. However, the room was terrible. It is old. The air conditioning is not effective at all, and the shower room has no ventilation fan, and it has been squeezed for a long time, and the temperature adjustment of the shower bath is not good (the type of temperature and cold is adjusted by oneself). The worst thing was that the room provided as a non-smoking room is not a non-smoking room. Of course, I didn't have an ashtray now, but I thought I could provide it as a non-smoking room in that state. I don't think smokers care, but the whole hotel smells terrible from the time they are on the elevator. I think that the hotel is old, so I used all of it as a smoking room and recently provided it as a non-smoking room, but the smell of the yankees that rust into the room is really bad and bad smell I can't sleep at night . I was scheduled to stay for a consecutive night but only 1 nights and changed to other hotels nearby. I stayed in one room on the 8 floor this time, but I would definitely not recommend it to anyone who doesn't like tobacco smell. I chose this place because of the cheapness, but it was a mistake for me, especially sensitive to the smell of cigarettes. I think there is no problem with those who don't care about the smell of cigarettes as I said first.

The room I stayed this time was room 513. The downlight is dark with only 3. The liquid crystal television is fixed by a wall hanging of 43 inches made of Toshiba. The room door was auto lock. Although it is not a security elevator, the card key does not write a room number, so there is a certain security effect. It seems that it is different depending on the hotel that the electronic key is not in front of Yokohama Sekiuchi station and Yokohama Motomachi station is not auto lock. Like other hotel ribmax, there is a microwave oven, a hot pot, a door refrigerator, and a humidified air cleaner made by SHARP, so the view from the window of the room is the wall of the next building! (>_<) From Max cafe to guest room in 1F. Breakfast is 6:30 ~ at Max cafe. According to the official site, breakfast seems to be not provided due to the influence of corona from 4/1. Japanese food (snack) Viking is the same as in front of Yokohama Motomachi station, but the cap is narrow. It may be difficult when it is crowded because it is arranged in a narrow table. When I was eating (around 6:30), there were only 1 people, and it was garagara. Bread, rice, natto, umeboshi and pickles, tamago salad, lettuce, egg grilled and kinpira gobo, baked fish, coffee (hot, ice), vegetable juice, milk, etc. Check-in ・ out is done by automatic fare adjustment machine. Mineral water was received at check-in. According to the official site, it is scheduled to end at 3/31. It was also posted in the elevator. Body soap, shampoo and conditioner are DHC. There is a hand soap. The shower momentum is also sufficient. Access is less than 10 minutes walk from the west exit of Yokohama Station 々? It is quiet because it is a business district such as sotetsu headquarters. It may be hard when people with many luggage and the weather is bad. Wi-Fi free. Coin laundry is in 2F. The shower toilet was a heating toilet seat. The gap in the room door was not empty like other rib max and I couldn't hear the noise in the corridor. There is no closet but there is a hanger in the hook of the wall hanger 4 books. It is beautiful because it is a new hotel opened in December 2018. The room is small but recommended for staying only to sleep around Yokohama Station!
Hotel Yokohama Camelot Japan

Camelot Hotel (“Ibiza Lu lived”) was once a four-star business hotel - probably in the late 1980s. The hotel is aging, but it maintains a noble and decent atmosphere. And in fact this is really a very nice place, despite the age shown: the room is cramped, the furniture and fixtures are a bit shabby, the bathroom needs renovation . But everything was very clean, the staff were pleasant (try to speak English), the front desk provided 24 hours service etc. One aspect of its age is the lack of convenience: the front desk and elevator - can be reached through the upper and lower half steps. From the parking garage/car entrance, you can enter the hotel directly. When we walked to the front door of the hotel, we had to drag our luggage a short step to check in. No big deal, but not the design of 2000. From Yokohama Railway Station, the hotel can be reached accessible through the underground mall. After 11:00 pm the mall is closed and you have to use the pedestrian bridge. In fact, you can't walk directly through the ground without walking a long way to the hotel because the street where the hotel is located cannot be walked through. The hotel is about three blocks from the train station. All facilities are in the mall or train station - including several small supermarkets. Internet access is via Ethernet cable. Hotel will rent you a personal indoor wireless router for $2 per day. Go get it. It is a good investment. Internet works well. There is a coin-operated laundry room in the basement. All in all, Camelot is a very good budget hotel, but given the view of the (quiet, completely soundproof) highway and the inconvenient path, it is difficult to be a four-star hotel that was and aspires to be. No problem at all. But it's not super convenient.
