Tower Guest House

Just stayed here for 2 nights with my partner and will definitely be back!! The hosts were very welcoming and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Our room we stayed in was fab with the superkingsize bed!! All the rooms are beautifully decorated (Had a nosey through the open doors when the cleaners were in 🤣) Everything was finished to a beautiful standard! The breakfast was very nice and the ordering through the app was very easy to do! Lovely clean place to stay just a 15 min walk from york! Will defo be back!

Stayed here for two nights while visiting York, very friendly welcome from Tony explained everything we needed to know about our stay. Room very comfortable and clean, nice bathroom with a roll top bath and walk in shower. Breakfast is pre-ordered on an app as well as setting your room temperature, table service at breakfast and good quality ingredient's. Diana works very hard getting the breakfast just right every time, thanks. Would defiantly return if we visit the area again.

Just left the tower house this morning, lovely three days. Tony and Diana were just delightful, very friendly and informative. Breakfast beautiful quality, cooked and served. We were in room 3, the french rococo room, huge, free standing bath, extremely comfortable bed and pillows. It needs just a little TLC, paintwork. Blackout blinds were great, excellent sleep. Handy for walking or the bus into York , walking in about 20 minutes. A definite must go to. Julie Hugh sneddon

What a fantastic hotel! We stay in York at least twice a year. Never come across this hotel and booked last minute and my goodness what a find! Everything was exceptional. The level of detail throughout the room was fantastic. Spotlessly clean Staff so lovely Breakfast absolutely fantastic. We've already agreed we are coming back so we can experience the other themed rooms so glad we found you guys!

Beautiful boutique guest house, that puts some hotel chains to shame as it's so clean. The Comfy bed and pillows ensure a perfect sleep. Nice complimentary tray for tea and coffee, with soft drinks in room fridge also. Full English breakfast was delicious too and certainly not greasy as some fry ups are. Car parking spaces available. A good gentle 20 minutes stroll to city centre. 10/10 will return.

We had a fabulous stay at the Tower House York. We had a warm welcome by Diana who advised us where we should visit whilst in York, she also suggested restaurants worth going to. We thought that a one night stay would not be long enough and lucky for us there was a room available. The rooms are themed and are magnificent, quality linen, spacious and spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are stunning. Great range of breakfast cereals with fresh fruit, yoghurts, juice etc plus Tony and Diana do a wonderful cooked breakfast accommodating my fussy requirements. It’s only a short walk into the city, there is also a bus stop close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would have no hesitation in recommending The Tower House

Me and my partner stayed here a few years back and were that impressed that when my parents mentioned they would like to visit York I decided to book us a couple of rooms. We stayed in the same room as before, the samurai which has a wonderful sunken bath and I booked the other ground floor room for my parents which was beautifully decorated and so pretty. The breakfasts are really good, the food is high quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Diana’s homemade granola is delicious and must definitely be tried! Tony goes above and beyond to be the perfect host and make you feel welcome. The free shuttle service into York centre previously offered by Tony on our last stay is no longer available which was unfortunate as my mum recently injured her foot so can’t walk far. There is however a bus stop directly across the road but We found with 4 of us it was cheaper and more convenient to use Uber at £6 each way to York minster. If walking isn’t a problem it is only a 20/30 minute walk. The rooms were cleaned and fresh towels provided In between our 2 night stay which was good but our only negative is that the walls and skirting were very dusty especially around the door and attention needs paying to this. We all very much enjoyed our stay and would come back in the future.
