Hotels Near Spomenik Jozsefu Antallu in Zagreb

From even before the moment I arrived at this property, I was well looked after. Transfer from the airport to hotel was taken care of and perfect. Check in easy. View lovely. Housekeeping accommodating. Wonderful Malin+Goetz products, along with bedside lavender balm. And the pillows! Evening service (water and a chocolate) delivered with a smile. Restaurant and bar staff so lovely and all with great memories of what you had and may want again. Room service timely. Everyone here has a welcoming smile. This hotel also benefits from a great location. Fitness/pool with perfect early-morning and late-day hours (until 10:30) are a big help to guests who are busy during business hours. Have felt well looked after and will return.

The hotel room was nice and clean on first sight but when you look closer you find a lot of things being very wrong. I had two windows in my room. One wasnt opening at all, the oder didnt close properly. Tilting it was not possible because no matter how you turned the handle it was always in the open position which also meant you could not block the outside noise from the restaurant below out. But since the AC wasn't working (no matter the setting, it was heating) sleeping with the window closed was not possible anyway. So you have a choice between a completely overheated room or loud noise and smell from the restaurant until midnight. The bathroom was mostly clean but everything is half broken and the toilet is placed so close to the wall that sitting straight on it is impossible, despite there being more than enough room for better placement. Neither the sink, the bathtub nor the bidet had plugs in them and the pipes below looked very dirty. The shower hose had black stains that looked like mold all over it. It was not pleasant to use that shower. There is only a single socket near the bed so you have a choice between using the bedside lamp or charging your phone. The service was ok most of the time but the person who did my checkout was extremely rude just because I didnt understand the croatian text on the payment terminal which caused the first payment to fail and they had to do it again.

We were overwhelmed with the space, design and comfort of this little home. The hosts were like family from the first minute till we left. The proximity to downtown ( less than 10 min walk) made our visits n dropping home so easy. The big windows brought in the gorgeous sun light in the space. Though in a Main Street, it was utterly quiet. Zagreb is a safe place to visit and a heaven for the foodies and party sceners!! Once you come here, you will always return. This hotel is amazing, I’m a diamond member and this was the nicest Garden Inn I have ever stayed in. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom design could be a little better, you had to close the door to use the sink. The people at the front desk were so helpful. They helped us figure out how to get to old town, we walked. Instead of walking along a busy street they told us to walk by their green belt instead, it was only 5 minutes longer. They also arranged for a breakfast box for us on the day we checked out. Most hotels would give you a piece of fruit, fruit bar and water. The Garden Inn gave us a menu to choose from with sandwiches (both with meat and veggie), option of fruit, yogurt and something to drink. The standard buffet breakfast was very nice. Good selections and good quality items. There was parking in the back of the hotel, but there was also underground parking. It cost 15E a day. There were a number of restaurants in the area and a market across the street. Highly recommend. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport and it was an easy drive.

It is an old-fashioned apartment building in the city center. You need to contact the hotel in advance. The landlady will give you a detailed arrival plan. You can enter the room by entering the password yourself. The room has been newly renovated and has a kitchen. The check-in experience is very good. The beautiful landlady once went there. Having traveled to China, he was very welcoming to us and even helped us solve the problem of renting a car.

The only thing good about this small hotel is the location and the hot shower. Everything else was not as expected from such high review ratings! I came a with a friend, we booked separate rooms at the same time and price. When we got to the hotel we each were given very different rooms. I got to the hotel first and asked for a room on a high floor with a view. Lady at check in said it wasn't possible as the hotel was full. A few minutes later my friend arrived and got a lovely room on the top floor with windows and lots of sunlight. Meanwhile I am in a dark room on a lower floor with no light or view and a balcony that is a joke. There was only one bath towel and a hand towel on the first day, the next day the same but one face cloth added, third day two complete sets of towels but no face cloth. I didn't need or want to have the towels changed every day! There was a useless kitchenette in the corner. No microwave and no dish towels or paper towels. There was a bottle of Coke and water in the mini fridge but it was not clear if it was supposed to be there. The mini fridge in my friend's room had a few more beverages in it and a price list, but there was no price list in my room. The temperature and fan control in my room never worked and the instructions given in the room notes were not clear. You also needed to read the instructions to get the TV channels, it wasn't just click on and watch. There was a robe in my room but no tissues or note pad and pen. The staff was not very knowledgeable about tram and bus - yet there was a tram stop just behind the hotel. I am not sure how this hotel was rated so highly but it doesn't deserve it.

A nice hotel for an overnight stay. They have a map to take a walking tour of the area, but I wasn't there long enough to do it.

We utilized this hotel after we flew into Zagreb, preparing to drive into Bosnia the next day. It was only a 15 min drive from the airport. There was plenty of parking (free). The hotel exterior was nice and well maintained. Check in was easy and attendant was friendly. The room was spacious by European standards and bathroom was nice. Good water pressure and plenty hot. Breakfast was fantastic - lots of options for food and drink. Cafe on site for coffee and ice cream, too. Only negative would be that there was a wedding the night we stayed, which went until 5 am (perhaps typical for a Croatian wedding!), and could still hear the base of the music two floors up. Not a problem for us, as we sleep with a white noise machine, but something to ask before the stay. Would certainly recommend this hotel!
