Domes Aulus Zante, Autograph Collection

Zakinthos Island|2.97km from The Melon Cocktail Bar
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Domes Aulus Zante, Autograph Collection, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our group of 8 friends from London, UK, gathered at this newly refurbished resort to celebrate two special birthdays, and our week-long stay was nothing short of magical. What truly elevated our stay was the outstanding service provided by the Guest Relations Supervisor. Their dedication to ensuring our experience was extraordinary went above and beyond any expectations. They personalised every moment, meticulously arranging our specific requests made in advance. From the breathtaking flowers that welcomed our birthday guests upon arrival to organising a private catamaran excursion and securing reservations for special dinners, the Guest Relations Supervisor’s attention to detail was unparalleled. The exceptional dedication and commitment of the Guest Relations Supervisor to ensuring our stay was memorable were evident not only in their meticulous attention to detail but also in their swift problem-solving skills. When we encountered issues with our room, including a broken clothes steamer and lack of warm water, they immediately stepped in to rectify the situation. Despite our initial hesitation to voice our concerns, their approachable demeanour made us feel comfortable sharing our issues. Upon informing them about the problems, they promptly arranged for us to be moved to a larger room with a delightful private terrace. This new room not only solved the water problems but also came equipped with a functional steaming iron, proving to be incredibly useful during our stay. We’re particularly grateful to the Guest Relations Supervisor for their thoughtful gesture of upgrading our accommodations, and their prompt actions ensured that our experience remained outstanding. Additionally, the thoughtfulness of the Guest Relations Supervisor extended to creating personalised souvenirs for our guests. When I inquired about gifting options, they not only provided a solution but went the extra mile by curating a beautiful bag filled with local specialties that truly captured the essence of Zante. This heartfelt touch resonated deeply with all of us, showcasing their dedication to ensuring our stay was not only comfortable but also genuinely memorable. The exceptional service and unwavering commitment of the Guest Relations Supervisor to guest satisfaction were key highlights of our experience at Domes Aulus Zante, making our celebration truly unforgettable. Their dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care for guests’ needs showcased their exemplary professionalism. We firmly believe that the efforts of the Guest Relations Supervisor should be well recognised, especially given their exceptional performance on an international level. We are immensely grateful for their contributions and the hotel’s overall commitment to guest happiness, leaving us with fond memories of our time at the resort. Th

Daniel Hotel

Zakinthos Island|0.38km from The Melon Cocktail Bar
Despite the neighborhood with the airport, Daniel hotel has a strategic position for those who want to turn the island or simply enjoy a rest holiday, as it is located on a very quiet and dimmed in nature, from the chaos of the media but at the same time a few minutes from the main road of Kalamaki (10 foot) and about 20 minutes walk from the Crystal Beach Beach. The hotel is comfortable and is spacious and orderly, with a pool reserved for customers in the centre of the hotel, with a bar open until evening and a great music of the underground (but not invasive). The rooms have an independent entrance, are quite spacious and have a living terrace with chairs and tables, air conditioning (extra costing €6 per day) and a refrigerator. Unfortunately, the only negative note is breakfast that was a little slightly sharp and medium-quality, so not at the level of expectations. It is possible not to include it in your living room, but to take the main road where there are several bars that also make cappuccino/express and so on. A tip: if you have to rent a means (what is recommended!) you should only address the large chains that can ensure you vehicles in good condition, safe and above all concrete assistance; Evite small rental services like the nearby hotel because unfortunately it has caused us a lot of problems and unnecessary stress. Finally, but not least, the hotel owners, Augustine and Vicky, are really two wonderful and hearty people; they helped us to solve the problems and invited us several times to rely on them for any problem, We are very grateful for the kindness and support we have shown. P.S. If you stay here, I strongly advise you to go to dinner at the Eliameze Tavern (6 min walk)!

Klelia Beach Hotel by Zante Plaza

Firstly, most of the staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic esp. the bar/wait staff. Very friendly, helpful and a joy to be around. Unfortunately, we found one of the receptionists to be less so. Felt that she would continuously go back on what she had previously said, and would make little comments on why things had not been done or provided. Was asked if we really needed extra pillows when the room was booked for three people and only had pillows provided for two. Also, when asking for more toilet roll as housekeeping hadn’t provided any, was told toilet roll was expensive and how much would we be willing to pay. Felt like she was trying to be funny when it just came across as rude. The rooms themselves were not as we expected them to be. Were placed in the annex (which was fine) but the rooms were not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel. We had two rooms; one with two people and one with three. The rooms are not meant to accommodate three people as they are very small. The third ‘bed’ was a pull out drawer from the double bed which was not suitable for an adult. Even though the room had been clearly booked for three people, there were only pillows, cups and other items for two. The bathrooms in the rooms gave absolutely no privacy as in one room only had frosted glass walls facing into the room, one of which had saloon style doors with a big gap between them. The showers themselves had no doors and were instead more like wet rooms which made the entire bathroom wet and slippery when having a shower. We were informed when we checked in that the hotel had recently been refurbished but saw no evidence of this in the rooms. The mirrors had duct tape on, one shower leaked into the room, there was a screw missing from the balcony among others. Whist staying at the hotel, there was unfortunately a fire in the field next to the hotel only a stones throw away from the pool. Despite many people informing the receptionist (the same one as above) that she should activate the fire alarm to evacuate the building (due to the fire being so close and the presence of smoke) she did not do so and even stated that she didn’t know how to. The alarm was eventually activated by another member of staff. This was a big concern as many of the occupants of the hotel were young families and caused us to have serious doubts regarding the quality of health and safety at the hotel. Thankfully the fire was attended to extremely quickly by the local fire department following a call by a local and no injuries sustained. I do have to say that we were very impressed by Jet2Holidays as three of their representatives came to the hotel and answered any questions people had whilst ensuring everyone was ok during the incident. All in all, we were not impressed by the hotel and would not choose to stay there again. However, the food and drink provided was excellent with a good selection everyday, and the evening entertainment was really good.

Meandros Boutique & Spa Hotel - Adults Only

Excellent experience at the Meandros, at our arrival they offered us a very welcome drink. The location is very good near the beautiful and clean beach of Kalamaki and near the center of Kalamaki which is unfortunately not animated in the evening so we had to move elsewhere. The cleaning of the good but not excellent room, it should be noted that there was a persistent unpleasant smell in the bathroom, and the very good and varied food at breakfast and dinner. The hotel's added value is the staff, really competent, professional, kind and friendly (we would like to thank Sofia in particular).

There is no word to describe how comfortable we felt during our stay at Christina’s place. We spontaneously booked her room, within 2 hours the room was perfect cleaned and she welcomed us warmly. Christina’s place is so pretty and very clean(!). The room was cleaned on daily basis and has everything we could have asked for. We could reach Christina anytime and she was very helpful. Moreover she gave our many many Tipps on where to go and where to eat. There is a beach 10 min. From the apartment by foot. And supermarkets and bakery Herz near by. I highly recommend Christina for anyone who wants to visit Zakynthos. @christina thank you so much for saving our vacation and for everything!

We spent 1 week at Elena's with 2 of my friends. The place is very nice, clean and everybody is very kind and respectful. Everybody speaks in English in the hotel, even the cleaner ladies. Rooms were cleaned nicely every day, towels changed every 3 days. The bathroom is a bit small but was enough. The beach is about 10 minutes away, lots of nice restaurant within 5 minutes.I definitely will come back to Elena's studios.Thx for everything.❤️
Vanessa Hotel

We stayed here for 11 nights and was really happy we chose this place. When we first got there I was a bit worried about how close to the main road we was, but it really didn’t effect us at all. It’s in a great central location. Rooms are basic, as always in Greece so this wasn’t a problem, but very spacious and cleaned every other day. Beds changed, fresh towels. The kitchen was was adequate, mind you I was surprised that a toaster wasn’t standard but the hotel happily lent me one for the duration of my stay for the kids breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and always willing to help. The pool area was good, especially having the separate Childrens pool with slide. My husband was slightly disappointed having seen reviews and pics about a pool table as that has now been removed. The bar / restaurant area was run by a nice team and the food we had was nice, we used it several times during our stay, one of which was their Greek night and that was packed and a real good night. We will defo return to Kalamaki and will come back to the Vanessa.
Athina Apartments
4.7/541 Reviews
We have been to Kalamaki many times over the years, and have walked passed the Athina Apartments on our visits, so we took the plunge and booked to stay here for 9 nights from the 8th September. The apartments are ideally located. They literally back onto the main ***** in Kalamaki, and are a few minutes walk from the main Kalamaki beach. We stayed in a top floor room, overlooking the pool. The view was great, and lovelly to wake up to in the morning or to enjoy of an evening before venturing out. Because we faced away from the main *****, we did not hear it at all. The rooms are basic, and could do with a little spruce up, but they are clean and comfortable, so that's what is most important. If you are looking to cook in the room, the cooking facilities consist of 2 hot rings and that's it. There is no oven or even a microwave. So you may struggle. But if like us, the only thing we cooked in the room was some toast for breakfast (yes there is a toaster and a kettle) then its fine. The pool area has been recently installed / renovated. Its is a lovely area, however during our entire stay, we did not see any member of staff tidy up the area at all, not even straighten the sun beds at the end of the day. When we had finished using the beds, we always tidied up after ourselves, and straighten the beds up etc, but not everyone did. So the pool area tends to look very untidy at the end of the day, which is such a shame, as it looks very tranquil in the evening, so it would be nice if it looked neat too :-) There is no lift in the hotel, so if you have struggle walking up flights of stairs, we would suggest opting for a ground floor apartment. However these do open up right onto the pool area so privacy will be a factor. The staff were great, and were always at hand should you need them. Would we stay again? Of course we would! In fact we have already booked to return again next September!!
