Hotels Near MFO-Park in Zurich

I have spent 18 days working from JOYN Zurich so think this should be a fairly accurate review of my experience. For context, JOYN is new so may still be working through teething issues, but hopefully this is useful feedback. Pros; - Comfortable, well equipped rooms. I was in one of the largest apartments they offer and it is a good space to spend a lot of time - The kitchenette whilst small is workable and has most of what you'd need - Well located close to the airport and about 25 mins by tram to central Zurich - Nice bathroom and good shower pressure - Gym is good with nice new equipment - Very close to great supermarkets (Coop and Migros next door) - The communal spaces are lovely, including the central courtyard and roof gardens - Strong water pressure from the shower (although the drain didn't seem to be able to cope with the volume of water which meant potential overflowing of the shower unless carefully managed) - The room has a small dishwasher. There were two dishwasher tablets provided and these weren't topped up by the cleaners, meaning you'll need to buy more Unfortunately the cons are pretty significant though, particularly if you want to work from here; Cons - The wifi is atrocious. At best the speeds hover around 1mbps which isn't good enough for stable whatsapp or facetime calls, let alone Teams or Zoom work calls. I thought this may have been my room but is pretty much my experience in all the open spaces including the ground floor communal spaces (see screenshot from Speedtest). This makes it unsuitable for any work. - The cleaning services are a bare minimum. After one week they changed my linen and towels but didn't vacuum, sweep the floor, empty bins or clean the bathroom. After another 7 days they'd hadn't come to clean again and when prompted they said it would be cleaned that day (but it wasn't). On the 8th day I asked and again they promised to have it cleaned. Whilst I wouldn't mind cleaning myself, there is no vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths or anything else in the room to clean with, so unless you want to buy your own, be prepared for it to get pretty dusty and the bathroom to get dirty. Cleaning also didn't include replacing the kitchen towels so you'll have to wash these yourself if you're staying for an extended period. - Other than the supermarkets nearby there is pretty much nothing else around Perhaps they're not used to guests having longer stays, but with cleaning services like this, it will become pretty horrible unless guests buy the cleaning products and do it themselves.

Dear EMA House Team (1 Nordstrasse Zurich) I have been staying with you on and off since May 2023. I cant rate you high enough, 5 Stars don't do justice. You are a fantastic team who have accommodated all my plan changes, even when it was at a short notice due to flight cancellations etc. The place is spotless and much better than any hotel in Central Zurich. I don't even think about looking for any other place in the city. I always feel very welcome when I arrive even when it was late at night. The suites are modern, clean, specious and very comfortable. Swiss budget motels are better than most American 3+ star hotels. Tram is seconds from hotel. Tram cost 2.70 Swiss Franc one-way (May 2023). Less than 20 minutes from Lake Zurich. Room was good enough size for one short night before the airport. Laundry on-site. Food/drink vending machine in lobby.

The hotel is located really close to the main station which is super convinient and also there are trams stops close by. So in terms of location it was great! just service of the staff are not too great. started off with really intimidating and rude front desk receptionist during check in. He was really rude and did not want to answer questions when we wanted to ask something and when we first arrivdd he just yelled at us to just wait even though we were just standing and waiting. The daily room cleaning staff was also just throwing our personal things around and not really helping put it back . so overall service wasnt too great and rooms were really small but convinient location

Location was both good and not good. While very near Zurich HBF and shopping, my room on the third floor was very noisy till late due to the trams intersection right next to the hotel. There are quieter hotels nearby if you are a light sleeper like me.

The hotel is wonderful in many aspects. The interesting thing is that it is located in Walliselen, just right next to Glatt Zentrum shopping department store. The hotel offers air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi access throughout the property. The Internet speed is fast. With the modern electric tram, not only the bus, brings me to reach the city center of Zurich and the Main Train Station in short time. In the room, it provides a flat-screen cable TV, a desk, and a bathroom with shower. At lobby area, I noticed that guests can also enjoy the food corner. There is a vending machines there. When need anything, the 24-hour front reception always is there. Very helpful staffs. I also would like to mention the General manager, Mr. Frank Trapa. He is very friendly. Are you a business traveller seeking a comfortable place to stay with good service at a reasonable price? Then B&B Hotel Rumlang is hard to beat. I stay here regularly and I find the value, the quality of the rooms, facilities and services very good for the price per night. I know that when I arrive here, a comfortable bed, a clean room with simple offerings, and a good nights rest is what is waiting for me. It isn't the Hilton, but that's not what I am expecting - easy access to work, quiet nights rest in a cosy atmosphere at an affordable price, is. Thanks Faustine and your team for regularly making my stay a pleasant experience.

The staff are willing to help. The most important thing about shuttle is 1) 10 chf from the hotel to airport but free of charge from the airport to the hotel. 2) the last shuttle from the airport to the hotel is 23:30. After this hour, you have to take a taxi, whcich costs 30 chf.

H+ is a comfortable, modern, well designed hotel with what you basically need and expect. Staff is professional, friendly and helpful. The location is acceptable, not in city centre, therefore less costly compared to quality. Trams downtown are right outside. Overall we are satisfied. What we liked; • Nice comfortable, clean room with OK space (glad we chose the king size) • Nice bathroom with standard amenities • Very quiet with windows closed, You hear trams and traffic if you open towards street • Very good breakfast with excellent swiss products • OK if basic evening bar/snack service What we liked less; • Somewhat cumbersome wifi access (although it worked) • A broken toilet seat that pinched the behind (!) it was not fixed during our stay because we only compalined the last day; strange we had to report this ourselves, • A poor old TV/cable, where several channels like CNN mostly did not show or pixelized Other to note: • No fridge in room • Sunday there was a big local soccer match in the stadium across the street. Tram service was disrupted for over two hours around end of match. Hotel could have informed guests, we wasted much time and then more time + money on a cab • A sauna/wellness area is available, we did not try it. All in all we liked the arrival, welcome and first days better than the last ones.

A really disappointing experience, the aircon in the room did not work, we were given a double bed even though we had called ahead and were reassured that we had two twin beds. We got a room here as part of a package with Coldplay tickets so the room wasn’t booked directly with the hotel. This was the main reason we called ahead of our stay to ensure we had the correct bed setup - we are father and daughter so a double bed was not appropriate. When I phoned to confirm the person behind the desk said he was too busy with check ins and would call me back- two hours later and still nothing. When I called back the person I spoke to was rushing to get me off the phone, I confirmed that they had our booking and asked if we had a room with twin beds. The person I spoke to advised we had two twin beds and everything was fine, when we checked in after our concert this was not the case. The hotel was fully booked and the bed could not be split into two twins so we had to make do with a double. The room itself was very hot and stuffy, the aircon didn’t work - initially we couldn’t get it to switch on due to the finicky lock on the window but even once on it did not do much to cook down the room. The only positive thing we have to say really is that the breakfast was okay and staff did try and resolve the situation with the bed by coming to check if they could split the bed into two which unfortunately couldn’t be done. The shower was mediocre and there were no toiletries provided in the room - only some soap for hand washing. The shower heat was not consistent, it kept going hot and cold whilst in use. Overall I would not recommend this hotel, I am not sure how this is classed as 4 stars.
