Wonderful location; Good service in check-in or luggage storage;
But the housekeeper knocked on the door at 10 am. Due to the poor sound insulation, we could clearly hear the sounds when the housekeeper cleaned other rooms or other guests sat outside our room. Not suitable for people who have light sleep

Check in is in the service area of the pub and the bar man was very polite and helpful.
This was a v last minute booking and so didn’t have much options, with the inn only having one single room remaining. The room was v small with a single bed. Everything was very simple, and clean. However there was a distinct smell of mould when entering the room. And the mould was apparent in the bathroom. Amenities were also minimal. Not cheap (£80) so did expect a little more for something in this part of town/country.

Never judge a book by its cover. If we had walked past this hotel we wouldn’t have booked to stay. The outside is tired and could do with refreshing (in my opinion)
Stayed in a triple room, one double & one single, decent sized room, comfortable beds, well stocked tea/coffee tray. No complaints about the cleanliness as it was very clean. The only negative is that the room was extremely warm (daytime temperature was around 28 degrees C) and only one window would open slightly. We did find a fan, inside the wardrobe when looking for the iron. If we’d have found it the night before then we would have been more comfortable. We didn’t upgrade to a cooked breakfast, just had the continental, we were all happy with the options available.
Would happily stay here again.

The room is compact, sanitary, and the bathroom is newer. Because the room is close to the kitchen oil fume discharge pipe, the restaurant on the first floor is closed at night and after breakfast in the morning, the pipe discharge is noisy, the room has a smell of oil fume, parking in the parking lot across the road, free and convenient

GGuest UserGood location in the shadow of Pendle Hill (well worth the climb). Our room was off site next door which we didn’t expect, luckily the weather was dry.
Bar service was hampered by staff shortage it seemed, but friendly. Food was mixed, we enjoyed one dinner but not a second one.
