"Extremely satisfied with my stay! The B&B is right near the county government office, and the architecture is wonderfully ancient and charming. As someone from the south, it was my first time experiencing a 'kang' (heated bed), and it was quite good. The owner was very hospitable and even gave us some vinegar when we left."

"My experience staying at this hotel as below.
1. They provide pickup and drop off from the train station. The day before the Inn contacted me to make arrangement for the pickup. Then they arranged to drive me back to station on the day I leave. Service was efficient and prompt. Much appreciated.
2. I was able to use the washing machine to wash come clothes which was much needed. Comb and toiletries were provided. So grateful for these little necessities as I left mine at the previous hotel.
3. The boss upgraded me to a bigger and better room because it was the low season. The kang bed was so comfortable and firm. I had the best sleep so far at this Inn. I'm so happy.
4. The Inn is inside the old city and practically next to one of the city gates. Very convenient for sightseeing old Pingyao city.
5. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Boss also gave me a bottle of vinegar. Wish I could take it back to UK with me.
6. The price of this Inn is also very reasonable and affordable.
7. Pingyao is a beautiful, ancient old city. Worth coming.

"Had a fantastic stay! We booked the 'sky-light room,' which was very quiet, allowing us to sleep soundly until morning. The front desk attendant was incredibly warm and helpful; she brought ice packs for my wife's sprained ankle and even lent us a charging cable. You can bring back anything you buy in the ancient city and enjoy it at your leisure in your room. The private hot spring in the courtyard was a great experience – perfect for soaking while munching on snacks and sipping tea. It even has a retractable roof with lights, so you can enjoy it at night too. The service was top-notch; they provided a pet gift package and a welcome gift, which our dog loved! The staff were incredibly responsive, charming, and generous. We'll definitely be back!"

"The hotel's location is good. Although it's a bit old, it still has all the hardware facilities expected of a five-star hotel.
Let me focus on the most unpleasant service experience this time.
We booked a family room, which included three breakfasts. Our child had an upset stomach the night before and was throwing up and had diarrhea all night. So, in the morning, only the two adults went to eat, thinking of getting a takeaway box for the child. This is where the unpleasant experience began. The person in black, who seemed to be a supervisor at the restaurant, said that if we had already started dining, takeaway boxes wouldn't be provided (at this point, we thought we only had two breakfasts included). Later, after checking the order, we confirmed that the family room included three breakfasts. We went back to the restaurant reception to ask for a takeaway box, clarifying upfront that our room included three breakfasts and that we wanted to pack something because our child was unwell. Even then, the front desk staff said that after 6:30 AM, it's recommended to dine in, and takeaway boxes are generally not provided. She also claimed it was busy and she couldn't authorize it (even though there were no guests waiting at the front desk at that time) and that only the supervisor could approve it. I had to wait for her to call the supervisor over again before I finally got a takeaway box.
Throughout this entire process, both of them had cold faces and showed absolutely no service意识 (service awareness). This definitely deserves a negative review!!!"

"Traveling to Yuncheng with my elderly parents, this hotel offered excellent value for money.
The welcome fruit, snacks, and mini-fridge beverages were replenished daily and were all complimentary. There was even a list in the room of items you could borrow. The hairdryer was definitely a hit for those with long hair.
The hotel proactively contacted me beforehand to inquire about room preferences and helped arrange rooms on the same floor. The front desk service was also spot on. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant for three consecutive nights, and my parents were very satisfied.
My only suggestion would be that if Yuncheng ever becomes a smoke-free city, it would be great if the hotel could have a few completely smoke-free rooms equipped with smoke detectors and sprinkler systems."

The car was parked downstairs, which was very convenient. , Living in the mountains is far from the hotel, driving parking spaces are difficult to find, and those who do scenes have to run with their luggage. Self-driving treasures really recommend. The price is very high. , The only bad thing is that I live in the innermost part, and the hot water needs to be put for a long time before I can barely reach the standard of bathing. "When I visited Mount Wutai, I was torn between booking the Marriott or a guesthouse. My main concern was the Marriott's distance from the scenic area and potential inconvenience. However, I ultimately chose the Marriott for its reputation for excellent service. After checking in, all my worries disappeared! Every morning, there are three scheduled shuttle buses that go directly to the central scenic area. If you miss one, it's no problem at all; the hotel's electric car will take you to the Route 8 bus stop anytime. When you return, just call the hotel from the designated stop and they'll pick you up immediately. It was incredibly convenient and I was very satisfied. The food at the hotel restaurant was also delicious. All in all, it exceeded my expectations!"

"This stay exceeded my expectations. The hotel just opened this year, so everything is brand new and spotless. Both the public areas and the rooms are very comfortably designed. The service throughout was excellent; check-in at the front desk was efficient, and any requests were promptly handled. Breakfast was a delightful surprise with delicious dishes and fresh ingredients. The minibar was replenished daily, which was a great touch! I especially want to commend the bedding – the mattress was just right, not too soft or too firm, and the duvet and pillows were incredibly soft, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. AAnonymous UserThe owner, Brother Wang, was incredibly enthusiastic, providing exceptional service. He contacted us a day in advance to arrange pick-up and shared travel tips. What really stood out was when we decided to check out early and head to our next destination without prior notice; Brother Wang still got up early to drive us to the high-speed rail station. Considering it would have been hard to hail a taxi that early and how chilly Pingyao was in the morning, Brother Wang made us feel as warm as spring! He even upgraded our room for free. The inn's location is excellent, right on Yamen Street, very close to the City Tower, yet it's very quiet at night. The bedding was soft and comfortable, giving us the best sleep of our trip! PS: Staying here also includes free trials of Jin merchant traditional clothing for some beautiful photos!

DDafeieThe room was great, and the underfloor heating kept it very warm. The courtyard (siheyuan) is absolutely beautiful. The underground parking was also very convenient. The service was excellent. I didn't use my car for two days, so leaving wasn't the smoothest. I had to rush to Yungang Grottoes and left before 7 AM, getting a bit delayed at the entrance. The parking fee was 100 RMB (even though there was a free parking voucher, it didn't link successfully), but the owner paid it for me. This is a very responsible establishment, and both the owner and the housekeeper are wonderful. The location is super convenient, and the breakfast is incredibly delicious. Many thanks!

The directions to attractions were very clear, and the tour guide they arranged was incredibly professional. Learning about the ancient city's history made the trip truly worthwhile!
The courtyard was very clean, and you could tell every plant was carefully tended to. The room furnishings were also very tasteful, and the facilities were complete.

SSteveCHouLoved it!! Although we were only here 2 nights, this was one of our 2 favorite stays of our 2 weeks in China. We’re loved it here. This hotel was just what I was hoping for. Traditional courtyard hotel. It’s beautiful! We felt like we were in a movie. It was so relaxing. Both mornings I just relaxed on the swing in the courtyard and enjoyed the peace and the environment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Helen was very nice and helped us with any questions we had. The room was clean and beautiful. I will say you need to be prepared for a very firm bed - but that’s the style and party of the experience, This was one of our favorite parts of our trip. If we’re fortunate enough to have the chance to come back, I will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse boasts a wonderfully elegant ambiance and a truly superb location. Stepping out, you're right on Gulou East Street, perfect for exploring, and Southeast Yi is just a few minutes' walk away. Despite its bustling street location, the guesthouse's courtyard offers surprising tranquility. We slept soundly through the night and woke up naturally, completely undisturbed.
The owner and the housekeeper were incredibly thoughtful and attentive. They were always ready to answer any questions, from before our arrival until our departure, and their responses were always very detailed. Every day, the housekeeper would kindly ask us what time we'd like breakfast the next morning, and at the agreed time, she'd even come to our room door to let us know it was ready.
I absolutely adored it!!! If I ever visit again, I would definitely choose Yishui Street.

Room is very spacious and clean, and I was within walking distance to most of the attractions and restaurants.
The staff here are very friendly and they always went out of their way to make my experience in Datong memorable! I'm especially grateful because the manager showed me how to order food from local restaurants using my phone and get it delivered straight to my room!
