Hotel Golden Orchid

Very good hotel and the room is clean except the bathroom. The clerks are untrained and service quality is not good. They should stop making multiple calls to guest's room when nothing is ordered for dinner. I received 3 times of such calls within one day when I was relaxing in the room I felt like I was blamed for not ordering anything from the restaurant. They do not realise how rude it is and think that it is normal practice for Indian hotel but foreigners are very much annoyed by that ”Sir do you want to order anything for dinner?”.

Hotel Gulmohar Grand

Very good hotel for the low price and located in convenient place. It is walkable distance from Daucus restaurant and not far from the vehicle station as well, but from the hotel directly it is not easy to find auto or cab. The room is very clean and air conditioner is super strong, hot water was available for 24 hours. In the night time around 11 PM the noise from air flights was very loud. Breakfast was South Indian style buffet and the quality is good but the restaurant clerks did not understand English at all. From the cafe space you can always buy cold water bottle at MRP. Overall the stay was great.

The experience was outstanding. Cleanliness and staff are a real asset. Rajan, Dipu, and Priya, Ranjitha, Komal and no o mention the best Is the young chef both brilliant and passionate. The price is a bit on the higher side for a hotel with no bar r a spa. The experience otherwise was five star
Landmark Hotel

This has to be the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my years of travel and working in the travel industry. I booked this hotel for myself , my boss and 9 clients for 1 night after our tour in Kaziranga, to spend the night and take the flight back to Sri Lanka via Delhi the next day. Oh boy where we in for a surprise. The hotel is not even a 2 star hotel in my opinion, the toilets were so old and basic it was shocking. Even our old wildlife department bungalows in Yala and Wilpattu had better toilets. It was that bad. The toilet seats were dirty and the cisterns were old plastic ones which were not working properly and the toilet seat was in peaices. The overall toilets were terrible. The rooms were also old and not well maintained. One of the clients complained the sheets looked like used and not washed. When I went to the shower there was no hot water, and when I called the reception they were asking me “sir do you want hot water? Shall I turn the main switch on then? “ and I was in shock. Also the Wifi as well they do several “mgyver” type of mechanical operations by the hotel maintenance to get working. We were worried stepping into dinner what the clients would say. Dinner was excellent and very tasty. But there also we had an issue. We clearly gave each order one by one with each room number to bill to. End of the service the waitress came with all in one bill and we told her to put each iteam ordered room wise like we asked before. She gave an annoyed expression and made a rude gesture towards my client. My boss Athif was with us, and he got very angry. Then she said she will make the bills an come to get them signed. The clients waited over 3o mins and no bills were coming. Then when we asked she casually said she will give it at checkout tomorrow, when the clients have been waiting tired and sleepy for over 30 mins expecting this to come which she said shes giving. My boss and myself immediately asked to speak to the ***ager, who came sheepishly and listened and apologized to us, but we wanted them to personally apologize to clients the next day which he agreed (but later never did and hid from us whole of the next day). Then the best part started when at night the power went off at around 2.30 AM and my boss Athif went down in the middle of the night 3 flights of stairs to check whats wrong and to see the hotel wiring something has happened and they were fixing, it, not the main power nor the generator issue, and he went up and down twice 3 flights of stairs to check with me in the middle of the night breaking out rest and sleep to see this issue, and so embarrassed that the clients will protect on this. The Power came back only at 6.30 AM. This by far is the worst hotel experience I have had in my career and I am deeply upset that we even put our clients in this place. Given this embarrassment we ended up paying the dinner bills of the guests as well to co****sate for all these issues. The clients said the whole trip was grea

I usually go to ***y different hotels due to my work but out of all my favourite will always remain vivanta. The food, hospitality, environment everything is great over here. I had stayed in this hotel for two nights *****with my wife in room no 505. Primarily the hotel staffs is too lazy to respond to your needs. Few issues need to be addressed at the ***agerial level for better and satisfactory stay of the guests. Firstly, I had complained about the AC leaking inside the suite more than once, the maintenance staff did sent a mechanic to repair and look into the matter. Despite that, the AC kept on leaking the whole duration of the stay. Secondly, the stench of the bathroom was oversighted by the house keeping staffs despite briefing them personally. There were also more issues but I have covered only two basic ones. Lastly despite all these ordeal me and my wife had to go through, the staffs didn't bother to give an acknowledgement nor change my room. Due to this lack of improper service and poor staffs response, I had to shift the hotel to some place else. However, the staffs were very polite and poised during the bill payment. They charged me full amount for all the services provided by them. It is earnest request to the ***ager to be more responsive and proactively involve in training the staffs properly.
