The first metal castle in Thailand at Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan

Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan is a temple built during the reign of King Rama III and completed in the reign of King Rama V. Wat Ratchanatdaram has the first metal castle in Thailand, 7 floors high with 37 spires. You can walk up the 67-floor spiral staircase to the top to pay homage to the Buddha's relics and see a high-angle view of Bangkok. Each floor you walk up to has various Buddha images and Buddhist art to see. Inside the ordination hall, there is the principal Buddha image, Phra Setthammuni. The front chapel has Buddha images in the contemplative and subduing Mara poses, statues of King Rama III and King Rama V. The back chapel has Buddha images in the subduing the ocean pose, named Phra Phutthachutithamnarasop.
