🏠 Wat Mai Thepnimit was built around 1757. Originally named Wat Mai, it is commonly referred to as Wat Nai because it is located next to Wat Nok or Wat Phakhininat Worawihan at the mouth of Bang Chak Canal. 🏡 The main attraction within the temple is the Ayutthaya-style ordination hall with a curved hull shape, surrounded by a glass wall. At each corner of the glass wall, there are twelve indented chedis, all of which have collapsed. 🖼 The doors inside the ordination hall are painted with guardian figures in traditional Thai style. 🖼 The mural paintings in the ordination hall show signs of restoration during the Rattanakosin period, depicting the Ten Jatakas and the Traiphum in a circular pattern. 🙏🏽 The sema stones are made of red sandstone in the mid-Ayutthaya style. 🏚 Due to its age, the temple has deteriorated over time and is not open to the public.
