I joined a relaxed Tai Chi class; although my movements were clumsy, the rhythm of deep breathing was incredibly soothing. Finally, I stopped at a small lakeside café to enjoy a cup of local iced Thai tea, watching the shimmering water as if time had paused in this green paradise.
