"Daci Pavilion" is located at No. 57, Beijie, Chuanxing Building, Baoding City. It is a historic ancient architectural complex, renowned as the "City Pavilion Lingxiao," ranking first among the "Eight Views of Shanggu." There is a popular saying among locals: "If you haven't been to Daci Pavilion, you haven't truly been to Baoding." Daci Pavilion was originally built in the 22nd year of the Yuan Dynasty's Emperor Taizu (1277) and was originally named "Dabeige" (Great Compassion Pavilion). Later, Empress Dowager Cixi considered the name "Great Compassion" inauspicious and changed it to its current name. The complex consists of the mountain gate, Hall of Heavenly Kings, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Daci Pavilion, and Guan Di Temple. Standing 31 meters tall, Daci Pavilion is the tallest ancient building still standing in Baoding City, majestic and spectacular, visible from dozens of miles away.
