Bell Tower

Baoding Bell Tower, also known as Mingshuang Tower, originally named Xuande Tower and Qianyun Tower, is located on the north side of No. 233 Yuhua West Road, Baoding City, Hebei Province, adjacent to Daci Pavilion. It was first built during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty. Baoding Bell Tower is a large wooden structure facing south, with an architectural layout modeled after the Liao and Jin styles. It is built on a high platform with a double-eaved hip-and-gable tiled roof. A large bell, cast in the 21st year of the Jin Dading era, hangs on the second floor. The entire building is elegant and exquisite in appearance, reflecting the grace and solemnity of ancient architecture. Baoding Bell Tower is one of the important cultural relics in the ancient city of Baoding that connects the historical and cultural heritage of Baozhou City, Baoding Road, and Baoding Prefecture.
