Wudang Lamasery.

Wudang Lamasery: Located in the depths of Daqing Mountain in Wudang Gully, Jihuluntu Sumu, Shiguai District, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it is a Gelugpa temple of Tibetan Buddhism. It is one of the four famous temples of Tibetan Buddhism in China, along with the Potala Palace in Tibet, Ta'er Monastery in Qinghai, and Labrang Monastery in Gansu. Wudang Lamasery not only attracts many believers and tourists with its profound religious and cultural significance, but is also famous for its beautiful natural scenery and architectural features. Wudang Lamasery was built during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722 AD). It was built by the first living Buddha, Lobsang Jiacuo, based on the Tashilhunpo Monastery in Tibet. After several expansions and renovations, it gradually formed its current scale. Wudang Lamasery is not only an important temple of Tibetan Buddhism, but also the most complete pure Tibetan architectural complex in Inner Mongolia, with high artistic value. Wudang Lamasery is built according to the mountain, with layers of white buildings and the surrounding green pines and cypresses complementing each other, making it majestic and spectacular. There are more than 2,500 large and small temples, sutra halls, and monks' houses in the temple. The main buildings include the Great Hall of the Buddha, Sugqin Hall, and Dongkuer Hall. Among them, Sugqin Hall is the place where the whole temple gathers to chant sutras, and Dongkuer Hall is the main hall, showing its noble status. A must-visit place in Baotou.
