Northern Thailand's Black Temple in Chiang Rai

Chiang Rai is a small town with green trees and beautiful scenery. It is a peaceful and simple place. It is a transportation hub to the northern mountainous areas, Myanmar, and Laos. The simple mountain villages, romantic Mekong River, and mysterious Golden Triangle together form the main scenery of Chiang Rai. Chiang Rai has the most beautiful temples in northern Thailand. It is suitable for arranging a whole day of Buddhist pilgrimage. There are many one-day tour routes from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. Generally, it is the White Temple, Blue Temple, and Black Temple in one day, and the Chiang Rai fresh and trendy check-in spots in one day. We chose the White Temple, Blue Temple, and Black Temple route, and the Black Temple is the most unique despite being the least eye-catching. The Black Temple is actually not a temple, but a private museum. It is designed as a theme exhibition of hell and death. Thai artists have collected a large number of exhibits about death, and have integrated ancient animal bones, primitive hunting tools, etc. into various artworks: giant seats made of water buffalo horns, devil reliefs on wooden boats, and wind chimes made of animal skins hanging in the air are all exhibits here. The creator of the Black Temple is the master of the creator of the White Temple. Many people believe that the White Temple represents heaven and the Black Temple represents hell. One created heaven and the other created hell. The reason why the Black Temple is called a "temple" is because the overall color tone is black, and coupled with the famous White Temple in Chiang Rai, it is called the Black Temple. The black wooden building of the Black Temple, the carvings on the beams, are ancient and solemn. The black tone here appears gloomy and oppressive, which is in line with the artist's original intention. Relatively speaking, the outside of the Black Temple is more suitable for taking photos and checking in.
