"Escape" Diary - Changshu.

In late November, I embarked on my second solo "escape" plan, this time to Changshu, Jiangsu Province. I had long heard of Changshu, and although it is not as famous as Qixia Mountain in Nanjing or Tianping Mountain in Suzhou, it is far from the hustle and bustle of the city and is rarely visited by tourists. It is a great place to take a leisurely stroll. This time, I mainly went to Yushan, Fangta Park, and Zengzhao Park to see the maple leaves. Yushan requires a CNY 30 ticket (CNY 28 if purchased online in advance). You can take the "You 1" bus to the top of Yushan, "Jianmen", for CNY 1. If you have the time and energy, I recommend climbing up slowly, as the scenery along the way is really beautiful this time of year! Fangta Park and Zengzhao Park are on the same road and are free to enter. As landmarks of Changshu, these two places are known for their exquisite beauty, with a view at every step. Now is the perfect time to visit, as the ginkgo and red maple trees in the park complement each other beautifully! It's hard to leave! I also went to Shanghu Lake and took a bamboo raft to see the amazing Taxodium distichum forest. Unfortunately, the temperature had not yet dropped completely on the day I went, and only a small part of the trees had turned red. I can only look forward to seeing them next time. However, friends who go in the next few days should be able to see the "red beauty". I later went to a noodle shop in Changshu that you must try: Han Hui Noodle Shop. They have three signature noodles: mushroom oil noodles, eel paste noodles, and pork chop noodles. This time, I tried the mushroom oil noodles and pork chop noodles, and they lived up to their reputation. The mushroom oil noodles were fresh and delicious, with a rich broth; the pork chop noodles were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside; and when soaked in the broth, the delicious broth wrapped in the aroma of the meat was mouthwatering. However, perhaps because of their popularity, the dining environment is very average, and it is difficult to find a seat during holidays. It is worth noting that they only serve breakfast and lunch, and are not open in the evening. I also met two cute and intelligent cats at the top of Yushan and in Fangta Park for two consecutive days, which added a lot of fun to my trip.
