Hongmei Park

Hongmei Park is located on the east side of the center of Changzhou city, named after the famous ancient building in the park - Hongmei Pavilion. It is the largest comprehensive park in the city, Changzhou's premier garden, and the largest national key park in Changzhou. In 2010, it was awarded the China Habitat Environment Prize. Hongmei Park was founded in 1958 and officially opened in 1960, named after the Hongmei Pavilion. The park contains important cultural relics such as Wenbi Tower (built during the Southern Dynasties, over 1500 years ago), Hongmei Pavilion (built during the reign of Emperor Zhaozong of Tang, over 1100 years ago), Banshan Pavilion, Kasaya Pagoda, Bingmei Stone, Jiaxian Square, Taying Mountain House, Wenbi Building, and others.
