Wat Mung Muang...a temple that survived destruction

Located on Utrakit Road, next to Chiang Rai Municipality Market, Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Rai District, Chiang Rai Province .. Built in 1840, Wat Mung Muang survived destruction during World War II, which locals believe may be because of the two-colored Buddha image or the two-colored Buddha image enshrined inside the temple. .. Lanna-style pagoda is located on a square base with four layers of recessed corners, supporting a recessed lotus base. Next up is the chedi chamber, with niches housing standing Buddha images in the attitude of opening the world on all four sides. ..
