Lost Film City Under the Moon

Stepping into Jiaozuo Film and Television City is like entering a sealed chapter of history. This film city, located on Phoenix Mountain, was once the only film and television base in the Central Plains region and the cradle of numerous classic films and TV dramas. However, when I actually walked into this place, I felt a hint of desolation and loneliness. Once, it was one of China's top ten film cities, providing shooting locations for many costume dramas. New versions of 'Water Margin' and 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms', among other works, have left their footprints on this land. Yet, as time goes by, the film city is no longer as glorious as it once was. Wandering through the streets and alleys of the film city, one can see that the ancient-style buildings are somewhat dilapidated, with few tourists, lacking the hustle and bustle of the past. An inexplicable sense of loss wells up in my heart, as if witnessing the change from prosperity to desolation of this film city. Despite this, the charm of the film city remains undiminished. The entire film city is designed with the cultural background of the Spring and Autumn Warring States, Qin and Han, and Three Kingdoms periods, with a clever layout and an imposing atmosphere. Scenes such as the Cultural Plaza area, the Zhou Royal Palace area, and the Market area, all make one feel as if they have traveled to that distant era. I pick up my phone, trying to capture the unique charm of this film city. Although I feel somewhat downhearted, when I see the film city in the photos, I also feel a sense of consolation. After all, this film city once carried the dreams and expectations of countless people and has left us with many precious memories. Perhaps, the film city is no longer as splendid as it used to be, but it
