I finally had the chance to visit @thelightwoodbymues, a place with an incredibly picturesque pastel mint green exterior that's perfect for Instagram. However, be prepared for a few mosquitoes buzzing around outside. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This spot is renowned for its sourdough bread, brunch options, and a diverse range of main dishes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My friend opted for the Shakshuka served with sourdough focaccia. This Tunisian dish comprises tomatoes, onions, carrots, pumpkin, bell peppers, herbs, spices, and eggs. I found it to be quite satisfying, with its robust and tangy flavors complementing the sourdough bread nicely. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As for my choice, I went with the Aglio Olio accompanied by Grilled Salmon, and I must say, it looked quite impressive. The pasta was elegantly arranged in the center of the plate, with a sizable piece of grilled salmon resting on top and some broccoli on the side. The pasta was slightly more moist than usual, possibly due to the tomatoes. Nevertheless, the Grilled Salmon was exceptional, boasting a crispy exterior while being tender and flaky inside. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To quench our thirst, we also ordered both iced and hot Matcha Lattes, sourced from Niko Neko.
