The romance unique to Kunming

I booked a flight to Kunming with a friend a month in advance just to see the Jacaranda trees. Hurry to Kunming for the May Day holiday to experience the full romance of blue and purple! The romantic Jacaranda buses, the beautiful sea of flowers blooming in the streets and alleys, during this time the whole city of Kunming is exuding the beauty of its spring city. Having lived in Kunming for four years, I am still amazed by the vast sea of blue and purple flowers, and the peak blooming period is during May Day, so hurry up and take beautiful photos. 💜 Flower Viewing Strategy 1️⃣ Jiaochang Middle Road The entire street over a kilometer long is lined with Jacaranda trees on both sides, blooming very lushly. There are also Jacaranda-themed gatherings, theme bus cultural activities, etc. From a high place, the whole street is filled with Jacaranda, which is especially beautiful. Casual photos taken under the trees are beautiful, and there are many high viewing platforms. It is recommended to take a ride on the Jacaranda bus to take close-up photos of the Jacaranda. 2️⃣ Alongside the Panlong River The Jacaranda trees here bloom exceptionally lushly, perhaps due to being near the water source, and it's the best blooming spot among all the flower viewing locations. The whole area is a sea of blue and purple, and this place is particularly good for taking landscape photos. Portraits can be taken by the river using the Jacaranda as a background against the railings. 3️⃣ Tiepi Alley A niche spot for viewing Jacaranda, with many specialty coffee shops inside. The Jacaranda trees here are particularly tall, but the good thing is that there are very few people. If you want to take photos, you can walk inside a bit and see a red brick building with stairs to go up and take photos. 3️⃣ Huanggong East Street The bougainvillea on the yellow walls next to the small shops and the Kunming signboard make for particularly good photo opportunities! There are also Jacaranda trees on the road, but they are relatively sparse. There are not too many people taking photos here, and it only takes five minutes to finish shooting. 4️⃣ Dianchi Lake Convention and Exhibition Center A flower viewing spot with very few people. If we weren't staying here, we would have missed it. Both sides of the small river are full of Jacaranda, which is particularly beautiful. 🟪 Travel Strategy Jiaochang Middle Road is a must-visit spot for flower viewing, be sure to get up early! Early! Early! Otherwise, there will be a lot of people, and if you want to take the bus, be sure to go early! Otherwise, the tickets will be sold out. You can enjoy the flowers and take photos at seven or eight in the morning, and if it's sunny, the light will be good by then. Then go to 📍Lotus Pond Parking Lot to buy bus tickets, 25r/person, and you even get a Jacaranda ice cream! Note that after May 5th, it will no longer be available. Other places are fine to visit normally, try to go in the morning or at one in the afternoon, when the light is better and Kunming is especially sunny at noon! ✅✅tips: 1.
