Leshan, Sichuan, I truly adore this place. Whenever it is mentioned, the majority of people will first think of the Leshan Giant Buddha, but for a foodie like me, the real essence of this city lies in its cuisine. I dare say, Leshan's food culture is definitely the best business card of the city, and no foodie can escape its charm. It has not only the distinctive style of Sichuan cuisine, which is 'one dish, one style; a hundred dishes, a hundred flavors', but also the rich local characteristics of the 'spicy, numbing, fresh, and fragrant' Shanghebang cuisine. People from all over the country are addicted to Chengdu snacks, but food-loving Chengdu residents quietly rush to Leshan during holidays. Bobo chicken, sweet-skin duck, ice jelly, barbecue, fried skewers... The local delicacies here are so diverse that you can eat for a week without repeating a dish, and before you know it, you could easily gain three pounds.
