Photo spots: Navigate to Bodhi Road, where there's less foot traffic and no median, making it ideal for photography. A telephoto lens would be even better, as the blue sky and white clouds create a perfect backdrop for the tropical rainforest town. Navigate to Bingcun Buddha Hall to capture the alleyway's Buddha hall. Navigate to Menghuan Silver Pagoda and walk up the hill. If you want to take pictures without people, you'll have to wait patiently due to the crowd. It's recommended to climb the hill around 6 pm for the most beautiful light and to watch the sunset from the mountain. Shubao Pagoda is easily accessible by navigating directly to it, located next to Best Food City. A wide-angle lens is needed to capture the entire tree. Food recommendations: Rice Noodles & Ersi: Lanlu Breakfast and Yinjia Breakfast are both good choices with the same price. A small bowl costs 10 yuan, and adding toppings costs 20 yuan. Yinjia Breakfast doesn't require queuing and has a better dining environment. Juice: Any place is a safe bet. Avocado and mango flavors are creamier, while pomegranate and watermelon offer a lighter taste. Chicken Feet: When in Mangshi, you must try the chicken feet available in various flavors. After trying three places, I personally prefer Ke Duomi's passion fruit chicken feet, which are sour and sweet, very appetizing. Barbecue: Both the roadside grilled beef skewers and Pingying Barbecue are good, tasty, and affordable. Beef skewers cost 1 yuan each, a paradise for meat lovers. Others: A Miao Restaurant is also highly recommended by many. The papaya beef is a bit too sour for my taste. However, the cold beef tripe and stir-fried loofah tips are very good and worth trying. Another restaurant, Qianjia Dai Flavor Restaurant, is not recommended. The lemongrass ribs are a bit dry and chewy, and the sour soup tilapia was disappointing as the fish wasn't freshly fried, affecting the taste.
