Nanjing Normal University's Suiyuan Campus is known as "the most beautiful campus in the East"

The buildings are all of the Xieshan style, with yellow walls and red columns, upturned eaves and corners, and bright colors, especially the blue glazed tiles on the roofs, which are very exquisite. The construction adopts the traditional Chinese palace style, while the structure uses Western reinforced concrete. The buildings are connected by classical Chinese-style corridors, achieving an organic unity of Chinese and Western architectural styles. From the Jinling Women's University in 1923 to Nanjing Normal University in 2024, the main style has been remarkably well-preserved, continuing the strong Chinese character.
