The overnight ferry from Hokkaido to Tokyo really left me with mixed feelings

This time, returning from Hokkaido to Tokyo, we didn't choose to fly or take the Shinkansen, but instead took an overnight ferry. 🔵 Boarding the ship at 5 pm on the first day and disembarking at 3 pm the next day, we spent nearly an entire day on this vessel, watching the sunrise and sunset, as if time slowed down. 🔵 The ship is actually quite large, with a big public bath, specialty shops, a restaurant, a children's park, and a fairly spacious lounge area. It's just right for an overnight journey, allowing for a bath at sea, an experience I've never had before. 🔵 You can choose a ticket with a small room, a single bunk, or even the cheapest option with a large shared sleeping area. I bought a small room with a sea view window, and a single ticket cost about 1000 RMB, with the cheapest being over 200 RMB. 🔵 The restaurant on the ship is also not expensive, with dinner plus breakfast at 2700 yen, and the buffet offers a rich variety of choices. Spending a little over 100 RMB for meals on the ship is really quite good. 🔵 Our room had a private bathroom with quite strong water pressure, and like a hotel, it was equipped with a kettle, tea cups, and toiletries were provided. Of course, you could also go to the large public bath to soak in the hot spring bath while enjoying the sea view. 🔵 For a long stretch, there is no signal on the ship, allowing you to truly get away from the outside world and enjoy a bit of travel time. It's a very nice experience.
