Arab type building

It is located just beside Calle la Alhondiga near Plaza Platero Oquendo. It is a Mudejar mansion built by Alonso Cascales that dates back to the 15th century. Interesting patio with stained glass windows and stylized windows made of slate. The facade of the building is an example of Segovian sgraffito, something that is quite common in the city. The sgraffito is part of the Mudejar style heritage that the Muslim left. Its main purpose is decorative and also able to camouflage the possible imperfections of the facade. It is a style that is still used on the facades of the newly built houses.
