Xiushan Temple in Shiping, Yunnan

Xiushan Temple was originally built during the Tang Dynasty, initially named Zhenjue Temple. It was renamed Xiushan Temple at the end of the Ming Dynasty, covering an area of 1,826 square meters. The temple complex consists of the mountain gate, front hall, middle hall, main hall, side halls, and wing rooms. In 1924, Chen Heting, a notable figure from Shiping, advocated the construction of Lingyun Pavilion on the west side of Xiushan Temple, forming the Xiushan ancient architectural complex together. This complex, with its ancient appearance and tranquil environment, is a rare tourist attraction that integrates Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism. It is a key cultural relic site in Yunnan Province.
