The Two-Colored River at Mae Ngao National Park

The 'Two-Colored River' is the confluence of two rivers: the 'Ngao River' and the 'Yuam River.' When these two rivers meet, you can clearly see the distinct colors of each river. The park staff mentioned that the Ngao River is usually very clear, but during our visit, it was the rainy season, so the water was darker. Despite the darker color, it was still evident that the river was divided into two colors. The water from the Yuam River is also murky, but the two distinct colors are still noticeable. This spot is also a great place to watch the sunset in the evening. 'Mae Ngao National Park' is located along the 'Ngao River,' marking the boundary between Sop Moei District in Mae Hong Son Province and Tha Song Yang District in Tak Province. The park covers areas in both provinces, including Mae Sariang District and Sop Moei District in Mae Hong Son Province, and Tha Song Yang District in Tak Province. The park also offers tent camping services along the Ngao River, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in nature. Additionally, you can cook your own meals there. The area is spacious and very shady.
