Ubon Ratchathani Zoo

At the entrance of Ubon Ratchathani Zoo, Thai nationals pay an entrance fee of 100 baht per person and a parking fee of 50 baht. Once inside, there is ample parking space. I visited on a weekday when it was not crowded, but there were several student groups on field trips. There is a food court with 2-3 shops open. Then, you proceed to the transportation area to tour the zoo. You can choose between bicycles, trams, or golf carts. Tram rides cost 25 baht per person, while renting a golf cart costs 300 baht for 1.5 hours. Trams depart regularly; inquire about the schedule with the zoo staff. We didn't have to wait long for the tram to depart, and they don't wait for it to be fully seated—our tram had about 10 people, and it wasn't crowded. The tour takes slightly over an hour, at a leisurely pace, which I found very relaxing. The tram moves slowly and provides explanations, with stops to view the animals. There are rest areas with clean restrooms and stalls selling drinks and snacks. Overall, I think it's much better than I expected and highly recommend it. It's truly great.
