Checking in at Luting Zhongcun

Luting Zhongcun, a hidden paradise in Yuyao, is located near Ningbo and is famous for its tranquil environment and rich historical and cultural heritage. This ancient village, known for its lush trees, green mountains, and waters, boasts historical and cultural landscapes such as ancient temples and bridges. A clear and visible Xiaolu Creek meanders through the center of the village, with babbling water and shaded green trees, providing a peaceful retreat for visitors. Luting Zhongcun is not only a place of natural beauty but also a place full of historical stories. There are two theories about the origin of the village's name: one is that it is called 'Zhongcun' because it is equidistant from Yuyao, Ningbo, and Fenghua; the other is related to the balance between the two major surnames in the village, Gong and Zheng. According to the 'Gong Family Genealogy of Shitan', the Gong family was the first to move to this area, attracted by the local Feng Shui during the Tang Dynasty and thus established Baiyun Village, hence the name.
