Zhaosu Prairie

📍Zhaosu County is located in a high-altitude mountain basin surrounded by mountains, with an altitude between 1323 meters and 6995 meters. The southern part is the main vein of the Tianshan Mountains, with majestic and towering mountains, which is a natural barrier to block the dry and hot wind of the southern Xinjiang desert; the northern part is the Wusun Mountain, the peak of Khantengri, known as the 'father of the Tianshan Mountains', is located on the Sino-Kazakh border line in the southwest, with an altitude of 6995 meters, which is the second highest peak of the Tianshan Mountains, and the perennial snow area reaches more than 100 square kilometers, which is the main water source of the Tekes River. It is the only county in Xinjiang without a desert. The county is mainly inhabited by Kazakhs and Mongols. Due to inconvenient transportation, there are not many tourists, but the scenery is very beautiful. At the end of June, rape flowers and lavender flowers bloom, and the yellow and purple land under the blue sky and white clouds is like a fairyland on earth. 🐎Zhaosu County is the location of the ancient Wusun country in the Han Dynasty, and the world-famous Tianma Hanxuebao horse came from here. Zhaosu County currently has 5 horse breeds: Yili horse, English pure horse, Kyrgyz, Alden, German warmblood horse, of which there are more than 60,000 Yili horses. Yili horse is an excellent horse breed in our country. In 2003, Zhaosu County was named the hometown of Chinese Tianma by the Ministry of Agriculture.
