Whisfee Cafe definitely is one of the hidden gem for coffee lovers who love cozy atmosphere & nostalgia feel 🤗
The cafe is located at the first floor of old apartment in Ton That Dam.
When you visit the cafe at night, you will feel like entering to a classical music pub instead of a cafe 😆
The cafe lighting is just right with the colour on the wall, the leather tufted chairs on the wooden floor, Lana Del Ray’s songs is playing, provides calm & relaxing environment.
Sometimes we have to slow down & rest, to recharge & rethink the definition of life.

A building filled with Cafes and Shops | HO CHI MINH, VIETNAM 🇻🇳 ☕️
#timetotravel
As the name suggests, Cafe Apartment is an apartment block that is filled with Cafes and shops in Ho Chi Minh City that overlooks the Nguyen Hue Walking Street.
I visited the Cafe Apartment twice, both times I visited the SaiGon Oi Cafe. I personally really like this cafe because it has a balcony, greenery decorations and extensive drinks selections. Everything my family and I ordered (the coconut coffee, smoothies and frappe) were great!!
There is also a shop known for its tote bags called “THE EYE”. Each tote bags are for 250,000 dong (~ 83 HKD) and the prints are quite funny and interesting.
Do note that there is a fee of 3000 dong (~1 HKD) you have to pay if you wish to take the elevator up to the cafe/ shop of your desired choice.

The Vagabond in town
Pretty cafe with tasty pastries, great service, and a lovely environment, but it can get a bit noisy at times due to the lack of space and crowding.
Prices are a bit high but I think it still worths for money.
💲Avg. per person: VND 90k-110k for beverages and VND 100k-200k for pastries

🥤 Cô Ba Cafe - Đồng Khởi 🥤
Address: No. 4-6, Dong Khoi Street, Dist. 1
The cafe shop is on 2nd floor, accessible by a short alley and rickety woody stairs, and capturing the attention with the Old Saigon artwork on the wall.
It offers an air-conditioned interior as well as an external leafy corner balcony with a lovely day and night view.
They offer various selection of beverages, meals and typical Vietnamese food on the menu. However, I think the beverage was just so so.
The view is the most appealing aspect of this place to me.

My 1-day escape
My very first time to experience the water bus (Bach Dang station to Binh An station around 15mins)... super hot weather and the breeze really helped when sitting on the bus.
It was a day as normal as others, but pretty lessening crowd because they've travelled to other cities for holidays.
The time of being quiet, living slowly, tasting the foods, drinking a cup of coffee, wandering around is definitely healing and enjoyable.
***
Water bus ticket: VND 15,000/person/way (from Bach Dang station to Binh An station)
F&B and Restaurants:
1, The Barista in Dist.2, no.80, street 15, An Phu
A cakes and coffee shop, small but pretty and quiet at noon
2, Ebisu Japanese in Thu Duc, no.66, Song Hanh st., An Phu
The steamed eggs with crab sauce is recommended (overall 7/10 grade in my opinion)
3, Spice Temple in Takashimaya Saigon Centre, Dist. 1
Pad Thai and soup were okay (I think it may be 8/10)

The Cafe Apartment - totally unusual building
On the main walking street of Ho Chi Minh City is a completely unusual building. Once upon a time it was an ordinary apartment building, but now the residents of this building have been resettled, and the building itself has been turned into a huge beehive, where each apartment looks like a honeycomb, which houses one of the hundreds of cafes.
Another amazing feature of this place is the paid elevator, for which you will pay 3000 VND (about 0.15 USD)

Mi Casa Cafe Coffee and Tea
Mi Casa Cafe is a nice and peaceful little escape from the hustle, bustle, and madness of central Saigon. Situated a stone’s throw from the riverside, it’s perfect for a bite to eat and an iced drink during your explorations. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the place is friendly for dogs too, which is quite rare outside of the expat hubs of D2 and D7. Excellent!

Located in the heart of HoChiMinh City’s district one, Saigon Casa Cafe is a charming and lush garden restaurant and coffee shop. The Cafe apartments
Among the many interesting architectural sights on Ho Chi Minh City’s Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the cafe apartment at No.42 certainly stands out as one of the more unique. Let’s explore the cafes, workshops and boutique fashions of this famous Saigon landmark.
Built in the mid 1960s, the apartment block at 42 Nguyen Hue has seen many changes. It once held American military officers and high ranking officials working for the South Vietnam government. After the Fall of Saigon, however, some of the apartments were given to shipyard workers. As the city developed and construction changed Nguyen Hue to what it is today – a center of tourism – the tenants began renting out their apartments. It was illegal, but people did it anyway, and that is why there are so many shops in this apartment building. Unfortunately, the law is pushing back. Notices of eviction for all the businesses make the news regularly. They’re still open, but nobody knows for how long.

A cafe with great ambience!
The place is called Brodard. I read good reviews on this place so of course, I had to try it. It’s wonderful, classy cafe with lots of nice dessert options. The tea set was a great choice for a rainy afternoon. We had on of their cookies which was delicious too. Not the soft and chewy kind but the taste was great. They also have an assortment cakes, macarons and chocolates. I feel like the chocolates were a bit on the expensive side but other than that, pretty similar prices to any other fancier cafes in Ho Chi Minh. It’s also right on the corner, just a bit down for the Opera House. Superb location and easy to spot. Interior is very palatable too. If you’re staying in District One in Saigon, you should give this place a try for a nice, quiet afternoon coffee or tea. #vietnam #cafe #hochiminhcity #tripblazers
Wanna add to your favorite cafe list?!
Okkio cafe on Le Loi street (the one near Ben Thanh market) is one of the few cafes my two very artistic friends recommended to me. It has to be my favorite cafe in Saigon yet. They have great coffee and delicious baked goods. I enjoy their cinnamon buns but croissants are also on point. I love their ice roasted almond latte (shown in a photo). They put ample roasted almond slices in the drink, adding lots of nutty flavor and making it just simply more fun to eat. The other coffees are tasty too!
The place is beautiful and cozy. Lots of people sit with their laptops to work there. The vibe is just great.
You do need to go up three flights of narrow spiral staircase to get to the cafe. That definitely makes this place more unforgettable.

Trung Nguyen Legend Cafe ☕️
Coffee lovers, this post is mostly for you but don’t worry non-coffee gals, I am here for you ☺️
When you visit Ho Chi Minh City (HCM) in Vietnam, this cafe is a MUST-TRY.
This is a coffee chain so this is pretty everywhere thus you may check the nearest branches to your hotel on their official page online.
TRIVIA: I love how they present their menu as they place a bit of history and details about their products.
And oh! Eventhough I don’t drink coffee, I still enjoyed my drinks paired with my personal favorite Banh Mi. So good! ♥️

Very cool and quiet cafe in District 1
Address - 96B Phan Ngu, Da Kao, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City
Ambiance/Facilities - Since it’s located in the small lane, it’s like an oasis for you to escape from the chaos outside. We arrived here on Sunday morning around 9am and it’s still very quiet. We got a seat near the main entrance and it’s very chill.
Highlights - Try Hardcore (double espresso with fresh lime juice). A very refreshing drink on a hot day. They have other interesting item on their menu too. If you are not adventurous, get “Ca phe sua da” and you can’t go wrong. They do sell freshly-roasted bean here too. They have a wide variety of Vietnamese beans if you want to try.

𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗻
Regarding the design of 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗻, first of all I have to say that the shop's quite photogenic facade, the highlight is probably the yellow staircase that I think most of you who like to hang out and check-in at the shop will have. at least one photo here. In October last year, the shop only had one ground floor, with gray and white as the main theme, and the interior was stone tables and chairs. This floor includes both outdoor and indoor spaces. I noticed there are also quite a few nice corners for you to freely relax. Up to the first floor, this is the new space that 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗻 just completed not long ago, using gray as the main tone, the tables and chairs in this area are mostly made from metal, painted gray, so I personally This space seems a bit colder than the ground floor, but in return thanks to the large glass doors, it catches more natural light. Here you will see another staircase that adds a highlight to 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗻 but this time it's a blue staircase, be careful not to go up, the area above is the shop's bakery kitchen. .
About 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗻's menu, including a full range of traditional Vietnamese coffee dishes and machine-brewed coffee. Besides, the shop also serves milk tea, fruit tea, juices, soda and some accompanying cakes. I will post the menu in the review of the dishes I used at the restaurant.
If you haven't had a chance to go to 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗻, I think this is a cafe worth experiencing. If you've gone, you can come back to visit the new space, maybe you can collect a few more photos. Pretty.

just a lump of nothingness Fancy Vietnamese Coffee
Trung Nguyen Legend coffee is a a higher end fancy coffee chain in Vietnam. They seem to handmake each cup at a time so it does take a bit more time.
The setting is quite relaxed and cozy so you can enjoy your coffee in a nice setting. It's also good to get some work done there.
I ordered my favorite: caphe sua da! It was very tasty: bold and full of flavor. You'll also be greeted with unlimited refills of tea.The prices are more on the expensive side for Vietnam but for the setting and the taste it's really alright. Head over for a nice rich cup of coffee!

The Cafe Apartment(HCM) - Pros & Cons
I would highly recommend Cafe Apartment to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City. The cafe is home to a number of different restaurants, serving everything from Vietnamese cuisine to Italian food. Cafe Apartment is a building in Ho Chi Minh City that has been converted into a multi-level cafe and restaurant complex. It is located on Nguyen Hue Street, which is a popular tourist destination in the city.
The foods are delicious, and there is a wide variety of options. I particularly enjoyed Vietnamese coffee, some of the best I have ever had.
Here are some of the pros and cons of Cafe Apartment:
Pros: Beautiful location, stunning rooftop terrace, delicious food, a wide variety of options
Cons:Can be a bit pricey, can get crowded, especially on weekends
Here are some additional tips for visiting Cafe Apartment:
1- If you are planning on visiting the rooftop terrace, be sure to wear comfortable shoes. The stairs to the terrace can be a bit steep.
2- If you are planning on eating at one of the cafes or restaurants in Cafe Apartment, I recommend making a reservation, especially if you are visiting on a weekend.
3- Cafe Apartment is a great place to people-watch. There are always interesting people around, and the atmosphere is very lively.

quaint lil hanoi in bustling saigon
this lil cafe is situated in a really small alley that one would just walk by without knowing but the queue outside was how we found the cafe.
serving up one of saigon's best Cà phê trứng (egg coffee), it was the creamiest coffee I've had and boy it was strong too! they have a chocolate version too if coffee is not your thing.
the interior was really nostalgic of an old western coffeeshop, it was really cosy and comfortable and the wait staff were really friendly and helpful too.
definitely worth the visit!
