Perfect spot for a Wedding!
For catholic individuals all over the world especially couples who are planning to get married soon, you might want to consider on your list the Monastery of Transfiguration located in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Philippines.
I had a friend who got hitched here and it was such a perfect location for solemnity as it is so quiet due to this being in the middle of the forest, away from the hustle and bustle of the normal churches. This place is picturesque with wide lawn outside. The interior is also one of the best with glass walls and wooden chairs.
This is indeed a place of peace, guidance and prayer.

I visited this monastery in the morning. Beautiful and good place with history, since 1096. Wonderful place to walk around and take a pics, be a little bit deep to history. I love the place like that. Recommend.
Good interesting place, if you are interesteed in orthodoxy and history, you will like it. Don't forget about the scarf and skirt! (for girls)

Beauty of Malaybalay 💙
Monastery of Transfiguration, San Jose Malaybalay.😇
In going to the Monastery, you have to book a flight using Trip.Com from your initial point to Laguindingan, Cagayan de Oro (CDO).
from Laguindingan, CDO Airport ride a van or taxi to CDO’s bus terminal. In the bus terminal, ride the bus that’s destined to go to Malaybalay (Kibacan Kibawe) or going north such as Davao.. Tell the bus conductor to drop you off at Malaybalay’s bus terminal.. 💪🏼
Once arrived, you can book your stay in a hotel or to the in-house stay of the Monastery of Transfiguration. If you prefer to stay in the Monastery, it’ll be like a retreat for you. 😉
You have to book prior to staying at the Monastery for they have limited rooms. The place is very popular for retreats so as to avoid conflicts, contact Dom Carlo (msg me for his contacts) prior to staying and planning to have a retreat. 😌
The monks who lived there are called Dom. So addressing them with “Dom” plus their names is appropriate than father or other names you address religious people. 😌
They have rules that you should follow in their morning to evening routine and encourage to join in their prayers, but the in between is your free hours to do your own prayers or reflection time or resting time. 😉
Their typical schedule is like this:
5:00 Morning Prayers
6:00 breakfast
7:00-10:00 free time
11:00 lunch
12:00-17:00 free time
18:00 night prayers
19:00 onwards praying or sleeping time
if you have further queries, feel free to comment down below or message me. 😊
