#Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
A unique experience in China
The Puppet Emperors palace is must visit if you are visiting the far north east of China. This was the seat of Manchuria government for a short time and the home of the Puppet emperor. This building is incredibly well preserved and looked after.
So often historic buildings in China are refurbished too much, leaving behind less of the history. However, you really get a feel from the palace that it has been left almost untouched since it was abandoned all those years ago.
Parking and tickets is easy. There is a large parking lot next to the attraction and we needed passports and health codes to get tickets in the ticket office on the day. There is also a metro station very nearby. The palace is not far from the city and relatively easy to get to.
I have heard that it can get very busy, however, the twice I have been it has been very quiet. There are often lots of large tour groups but we just try to avoid them and visit different rooms.
The palace is a really interesting place to spend half a day and learn about some more recent political history in China. A very unique experience in China.

Pu Yi, the last emperor of the "famous" in history, is well known to people but not because he has the military merits of Qinhuang and Hanwu, nor because he has the political achievements of Kangxi and Qianlong. At the age of three, he began to ascend to the throne until 1912, and in the middle three times he became the emperor and eventually became a citizen. Throughout the history of Chinas emperor system for more than two thousand years, most emperors only took one emperors position in their lifetime, but only the last generation. The emperor Pu Yi did not bother to make three emperors one after another. It can be said that it is the only three emperors in Chinese history. Coming to Changchun, I walked into the Puppet Manchurian Museum and explored the past and present life of the last emperor's tragedy along the trajectory of history.

Visit the Puppet Manchukuo Imperial Palace Museum - witness the humiliating history of Japan enslaving China!
Located in Changchun, the Puppet Manchukuo Imperial Palace Museum is where Puyi worked and lived during the Puppet Manchukuo era, witnessing the humiliating history of Japan enslaving China. The museum is now a national 5A tourist attraction, which has well preserved the architecture and environment of that time, providing us with valuable historical materials to understand history and learn from it.
The starting point of this one-day tour is the Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum, which is basically a must-visit place in Changchun.
After visiting the Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum, you can check in at another museum - Changchun Municipal Archives. It is closed on Mondays and you can make an appointment at the entrance. There is a visitor center on the right side of the entrance where you can get two stamps. This place, the former site of the 'Ji-Chang Tao Yin Office,' is not well known even among locals in Changchun. The museum is not large, with only 3 exhibition halls. Many of the exhibits are replicas, but as a complement to the Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum, it offers a more intuitive understanding of Changchun's history from the late Qing Dynasty to the Puppet Manchurian period, laying the groundwork for the continued visit to the Pseudo-Manchurian Eight Departments on Xinmin Street. Among them, three pieces of Qing Dynasty official clothing made me linger for a long time, facing them, a sense of historical fate overwhelmed me.
For those who enjoy reading, you can read for free in the second hall, 'Fang Zhi Ge.' There are many historical documents, and it is very quiet inside. The open bookshelves and tables and chairs are available for use.
The third hall is quite small, just a meeting room with a wax figure of Puyi. It is recommended for girls to visit in groups of two or more because the wax figure is very lifelike.
Leaving the Archives, head south along Yatai Street to the intersection of Sidaojie, where you will find Changchun's Catholic Church. You can take pictures at the small city garden nearby, P9 and P10 capture the Gothic style. The church is currently in use, and whether you can enter depends on your luck.
P16 is Dingfengzhen, a century-old prestigious brand. Inside the Changchun Municipal Archives, there are old mooncake molds from Dingfengzhen. Checking in here completes the loop. Dingfengzhen's mooncakes, sweet dumplings, and other pastries were must-haves for the old Changchun people during festivals. I like to eat glutinous rice strips and date paste cakes, and if there are other tasty treats, Changchun friends are welcome to add.
P17 is the century-old prestigious brand Zhenbutong, with a cooked food takeaway window at the entrance. The classic chicken roll costs about 30+ RMB each, and the store also has soup dumplings and other Northeastern dishes. 'The Last Emperor said Zhenbutong' hence the name.
P18 is a map, which marks Huibaozhen Dumplings, also a century-old shop, and Halal. When in the Northeast, you must try the Northeastern dumplings, and those who like them can also check in.
Additionally, there are some other delicacies around this route that you can try:
1. Chunfahe
2. Zantunzi Guotai Fish (Iron Pot Stew)
3. Huiwei Stretch Noodles
4. Louwailou
5. Xintiandi Shopping Park On the 4th floor, there is an indoor Venetian Water Street, and the food court 'Guoji Malatang' on the basement level has also been open for many years.
Changchun friends are welcome to add and correct

The Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo is a museum in Changchun of Jilin Province in northeast China. From 1932 to 1945, it once served as the residence of China's last emperor Puyi and the head office of puppet Manchukuo set up by the Japanese Army intruding into the Northeast of China.
The exhibits in the Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo have been set up in three sections: a display relating to the colonial state; a subject exhibition and finally, a display illustrating the daily lives of the Emperor and his concubines. Amongst the collection of important relics, there is a carpet from Jingren Palace in the Chinese Forbidden City, documents signed by Puyi and so on.
The entire palace is surrounded by high walls, and there are about ten buildings in it. The main part of the palace is divided into two sections - the outer palace and the inner palace. This was where the emperor managed the puppet state and held ceremonies and includes Qinmin Mansion, Huaiyuan Mansion and Jiale Palace.
Besides, there are other places of amusement in the outer palace, such as the garden, artificial hills, swimming pool and the horse race course. The inner palace was occupied by the Emperor and his concubines. For instance, the Emperor Puyi and the Empress Wan Rong once resided in Jixi mansion. The Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo is also a research center dealing with the history of the Japanese invasion of China and the Manchu State. In a sense, this museum provides excellent patriotic education.
Highly recommend if you are a history lover, there are many history relics here that can directly associated with history. You can rent audio guides in various languages.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to visit the iconic museums there!

A Puppet Manchurian Palace Museum, a true witness to a period of historical smoke and clouds. Puyi's life was full of ups and downs, he ascended the throne at the age of 3, experienced three ups and downs, and finally became a puppet of the Japanese. The Pseudo-Manchu Palace Museum
On the National Memorial Day, we come to the Pseudo-Manchu Palace, which has a mix of ancient and modern architectural styles, both Chinese and foreign, and has typical colonial characteristics. From the scenery, we can read the humiliation of the past...
Why was the capital of the Pseudo-Manchukuo set in Changchun?
1. Changchun is located in the center of the Northeast.
2. At that time, Shenyang and Jilin were the political centers of the Fengtian warlords, and Harbin was a city operated by Russia for many years. Therefore, Japanese colonialists regarded Changchun as an ideal city with 'thin political color'.
3. At that time, Changchun had a wide urban area and cheap land prices, which facilitated the low-cost acquisition and plunder of land by Japanese colonialists.
Now it is the first batch of national 5A-level tourist attractions and a world warning education base.
At present, more than 30 scenic spots are open, and more than 50 types of original displays, basic displays, and thematic exhibitions have been launched.
Picture 1: The clock is frozen at the moment when Puyi fled. It implies that the alarm bell is ringing.
Picture 8: Enter the air-raid shelter, which feels similar to the underground project of Tiger Head Fortress.
Picture 9: The design of the natural humidifier is ingenious.
Picture 17: The apricot tree in the middle of the patio only blooms but does not bear fruit, which is a portrayal of Puyi's life in it.
Picture 18: The carpet on the floor of the New Year's Day Hall was brought out by Puyi from the Forbidden City in Beijing.
Many middle school students were seen visiting it. I hope this alarm bell will let the children understand how to work hard from humiliation.

The Puppet Manchurian Palace in Changchun City is the palace where the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Ai Xinjue Luo Puyi, lived as a pseudo-Manchurian emperor. After the "September 18th" Incident, Pu Yi spent 13 years in the pseudo-Israel with the support of the Japanese. Today, the palace ruins have been converted into museums, becoming one of the three existing court ruins in China. It is also a historical testimony of Japanese militaristic force invading northeast China and promoting fascist colonial rule. Although the scale of the pavilion is not particularly large, the architecture is very characteristic, and the interior decoration is extremely luxurious, and there are also some western styles. It is one of the attractions worth visiting in Changchun.

In terms of cooking techniques, Jixian was greatly influenced by Lu cuisine. During the period of Puppet Manchurian rule, the last emperor Pu Yi established a pseudo-palace in Changchun, which became the political and cultural center at that time. In addition to Beijings Qing Palace, there are many famous chefs in Shandong. It makes the Shandong cuisine, the court cuisine and the folk dishes of Jilin blend with each other, and has a great influence on the local cooking skills. It has formed a fine-cooked mountain and wild game, heavy knife and spoonwork, and many of them are fried, fried, steamed, Stew, pot, stew, sauce, roast as a specific feature. There are also some yummy dishes that are not limited to the details, and are consistent with the bold character of the Northeast.

And gradually formed a JI culture. Since ancient times, Jilin Province has had ethnic groups such as Han, North Korea, Mongolia, and Manchu. The unique national food custom has objectively formed a unique and diversified food culture. In the 1930s, Changchun became the center of the pseudo-Manchu state. In addition to the royal kitchen of Beijing Qing Palace, the funeral palace of Puyi, Shandong famous chefs come to visit, the Lu cuisine, the court dishes and the Jilin folk dishes blend together to form the basic prototype of the Ji cuisine.

Ai Xinjue Luo Yiyi was the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty and the last emperor in Chinese history. After the end of the Qing Dynasty in 1912, in 1934, Pu Yi was under the control of the Japanese under the control of the Emperor of Manchuria.
The Manchuria Palace at the time was located in the current city of Changchun. Today, the palace at that time has been converted into the Puppet Palace Museum and became the national demonstration base for patriotic education.

Walk into the Puppet Palace Museum, where the architecture is dominated by most of the styles of the Chinese and Japanese. In each building, the scenes of the funeral office and life were displayed. Furniture, decoration and furnishings are also accompanied by a luxurious royal style.
Among them, the Xixi House is the palace of the funeral's harem. Because Puyi knew that he was an emperor and had no work to do, Yuxilou became the main place of life of Puyi.

The "Pseudo-Manchurian Museum" is the last emperor's palace in China's history. It has now become a site for exhibition hall and an important patriotic education base. Although the Puppet Palace is not as solemn as the traditional Chinese palace, it is not as grand and magnificent as the Western Palace. However, there are both old Chinese-style porch houses, Chinese-Japanese-style temples, and European-style buildings. The entire architectural style is unique. This Puppet Manchurian Palace witnessed the daily life of China's last emperor Pu Yi and witnessed a long of history.

I came to the Museum of the Puppet Manchurian Palace and visited the living and working environment of Puyi. I also really understood the last emperor of Puyi, a sad life, a boy without a childhood, an emperor with no real power, who lost fertility when he was young. There is no way for a beloved woman to be victimized... From the emperor to the citizen, he is actively reforming. If he changes his experience, he will not do better than him.
Sky..
The arrival of a last emperor made the place full of legends and mysteries; the history of a foreign aggression casts an unforgettable memory. The hatred of the home country, the sin of the ages, the humiliating history of the pseudo-Manchurian country for 14 years, is also an indelible mark on Changchun. Out of the heart of the Puppet Manchurian Palace, I feel that the bricks and tiles are telling the imprint of the long years, as if silently reminding people not to forget the history of humiliation.
The inner spire of the Xingyun Gate is inlaid with a clock dial. The time is fixed at 9:10. This is the time when Puyi escaped from the palace on the evening of August 11, 1945. Therefore, Xingyunmen became a witness to the decline. And Pu Yi can be said to be a legend in his life, three times ascended the throne, three times to step down, married five daughter-in-law, and four left him.
If you just visit alone, you may not feel so deep, but because of the introduction of the guide, each sentence of each word deeply touches my heart. The scenery is beautiful, and the memory cannot be annihilated. That period of history is to warn and spur oneself: only when the country is strong and national unity can we completely avoid the fate of being slaughtered; overcome all difficulties.

China has a history of thousands of years since ancient times. Each period of history has experienced hardships or turbulence in its development, and the misfortunes and hardships in it are worthy of discussion. The Qing Dynasty was the last monarchy in Chinese history. It is world-famous in the Kangxi Shengshi, and it was defeated by Emperor Kangde. As the last emperor's funeral in history, his life is legendary and dramatic, and it is tragic and embarrassing.
This time in Changchun, with the curiosity of Puyi, I walked into the Museum of the Puppet Manchurian Palace. Now I still have a complete palace. In addition to the Forbidden City in Beijing and Shenyang, it is the most mysterious of the Puppet Manchurian Palace. This residence lasted for 13 years. Pu Yi was enthroned at the age of three. He set off the fate of the entire dynasty in his childhood, but in a time of turmoil, it is doomed that the superior life in the Forbidden City in Beijing will not last long. .
Pseudo-Manchu Palace Museum with Pu Yis third wife, Fuguiren Li Yuqin personally vaulted and guided the restoration of the courts original appearance. The complete display of the old site of Puyis life, the palace covers an area of about 250,000 square meters. The main palaces open to the outside world include Tongde Hall, Qixi Building and Qinmin Building. Tongdelou is mainly a palace where Puyi handles government affairs and entertainment. In order to make Puyi feel relieved, Japan has attached great importance to him, and let him think that he has the real power. He built this palace and maintained the emperors original blessing and nobleness. Face. It means "together with one heart and one mind." Then you can see all the entertainments of Puyi, the worship room, the waiting room, the movie hall, the Japanese assistant room, and the piano room.

The Puppet Manchurian Palace is the court site of the last emperor of China, Ai Xinjue Luo Puyi, who served as the emperor of the Manchurian state. It is also one of the three existing court sites in China. All the way down, Puyis office, living room and bedroom are all in front of me. The half-day trip made us understand the life of the emperor Puyi. It is also a rough experience. Just as he wrote in his autobiography, it is also a rare patriotic education. journey of.

Today, I went to the Museum of Puppet Manchurian History in Changchun City, which preserved the architectural style of the time. It seems that the life of the last empty shell emperor is also very luxurious. The commentator will have a lot of wild history in the whole process. Quite explosive
