Besides being the tallest in all of Thailand, the building's unique facade with its recessed and protruding design is also a signature, creating a visual effect like falling mosaic tiles, hence it's also known as the Pixel Building. The hotel is situated in the heart of Bangkok's CBD, with a great atmosphere. For transportation, there's a BTS station right at the door🚇, making it convenient to visit attractions, Siam Square 🛍️ or Chulalongkorn University 🍜. 🌟Public Areas: Upon entering the hotel, the extensive use of dazzling colors immediately makes a profound impression. Different functional areas of the hotel are located on different floors, and each area corresponds to a different color. The dark green lobby on the 1st floor, the lemon yellow reception hall on the 4th floor, the deep red high-floor guest room area, along with the artistically designed furniture and lighting, give the feeling of walking through a modern art exhibition, and I really like this youthful and vibrant atmosphere💕 🌟Guest Rooms: From the guest room elevators to the corridors, deep red is the theme, with a very American retro style. The artfully-designed room was incredibly spacious and well-appointed, and the view was nothing short of spectacular! Being on the 18th floor made it felt like I was sleeping amidst the skyscrapers and floating in mid-air! One highlight was the complimentary pass to Sky Beach, the rooftop bar located on the 78th floor. It was truly mesmerizing to spot all the malls and temples I had visited during daytime from this height. Stayed at The Standard for the first time and it was great. The interior is beautiful and retro at the same time. The lounge is really chill. The BTS is right in front of the hotel, Chong Nonsi. Super convenient. Sadly, didn’t manage to go up to the sky bar as the weather wasn’t in our favour and it was also fully booked. Many years ago, when the Pixel Tower was first lit up, I happened to be in Bangkok, and I was looking forward to what kind of hotel would be opened here. Unfortunately, the originally planned brand was cancelled~ Until last year, the American brand The Standard opened, and finally everything was settled! Stay at The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon~ and also receive a ticket to the highest rooftop bar in Bangkok, Sky Beach, because the bar is also part of the hotel, but only available after 7 pm. Bangkok's flagship store for Standard in Asia still retains its characteristic vibrant social atmosphere and rich colors, with branches in the Maldives, London, New York, Miami, Hollywood, and more. #infinitypool The swimming pool and gym facilities are equally outstanding. The gym’s scale and equipment are world-class, and our family had a wonderful time here, creating lasting memories.However, there were a few drawbacks. Firstly, the restaurant’s food was fairly average, and the Thai noodle soup I had for breakfast was, unfortunately, the worst I’ve ever tasted. Secondly, despite the hotel being located in one of Bangkok’s tallest buildings, our room was on a lower floor, which meant the view was less impressive than anticipated. Lastly, there was a management issue when another guest’s pool expenses were mistakenly added to our room bill, highlighting some flaws in their billing system.

#songkran2024Wonderful hotel in the heart of Bangkok. The decor was very unique, with bright colours and in a style that would not be amiss in a Wes Anderson film. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, with exciting colours and thoughtful design. We also had an unhindered view of the city from our room. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was fantastic, with a wide range of options which could be ordered at will. The gym was by far the best hotel gym I have been to, with everything you would need from treadmills and machines to squat racks and an Olympic lifting platform. It was just a pity we didn’t have time to join the gym classes that were offered at a special rate to guests. The pool area was smaller but comfortably designed, and it felt like an urban oasis - perfect for a midday break

Mahanakhon Skywalk Bangkok

This is one of the highlight of our bangkok trip. The building is one of the highest building in Bangkok and is very famous with travelers. The ticket costs 990 Baht including the skywalk ride. The photo costs 400 Baht and you are not allowed to bring any food or water on the rooftop as well as tripod and any heavy backpack. Though they have free locker for your stuffs. We went there at around 10am, it's summer time but its not that hot in Thailand that's probably we get used to the hot weather of Cambodia. Overall experience was fantastic and will definitely recommended it when you visit bangkok.

The Standard Mahanakorn, Bangkok is an work of art. Period. We stayed at The Standard Mahanakorn for a week during our trip to Bangkok and I must say it is the best hotel I’ve stayed and experience in my 20years of visiting Thailand. From the service to the design of the hotel and the room, everything was stellar. The rooms are decked out in a urban chic theme, the bed was super comfy, toilet had a urban fitted toilet bowl, bathroom was massive with a huge bathtub. The view from the rooftop bar was amazing.
