Motel 6 Grande Prairie, AB
4.1/59 Reviews
my son and I came in from Toronto Ontario. I came along to settle him into new environment and ensure he was comfortable. He is a young firefighter ,coming to Grand Prairie to start his job . When we discovered that the place he pre arranged to stay was not available any more, Andrea at Motel 6 was nice enough to squeeze us in with extended accommodation. But that was not all: she was very understanding with the situation my son fell into , not getting the rental place he had hoped for and so Andrea took my son in without batting an eyelash, extending his welcome for extra time. Thank you Andrea and Motel 6 for making it pleasant friendly and thank you for your kindness, it goes a long way ! When i return to call to make arrangements at Motel 6 in Grand Prairie
Westport Inn

Generally normal, there is no praise, the price is flat, not too bad, so it is suitable for people traveling around, because the consumption is not big hahaha! There is room for improvement
Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton-Grande Prairie, Alberta
4.4/523 Reviews
Maybe it gets 3 stars but clearly these hotels are ‘gaming’ the system to get review numbers this high. So here’s the problem with this hotel: 1. Instead of just giving you a Wifi name and password, they want you to fill out a form that collects all your email and contact information for them to use for themselves and Spammers (as if we need more of that!), If you want ‘high speed’ internet so you can stream your Netflix or other streaming service that is EXTRA. 2. NO MICROWAVE in the suite. Go home with a doggy bag from the restaurant and want to heat it up in the morning… NOPE!, 3. Breakfast is free but very basic. 2nd day had ham as the ONLY meat available. No bacon, no sausage, 4. Staff are polite but not friendly. The hotel does do what it’s supposed to do though. There is a small pool with a basic slide for the kids, rooms were clean, an exercise room with treadmills, elliptical, a few weights, and a multi gym was there.
Super 8 by Wyndham Grande Prairie

This is a nice Wyndam property and is close to all amenities. We appreciate it's proximity to the things we want to do and that the property is pet friendly. It could use some modernization, bit is comfortable overall.
Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre

Worst place to stay in GP. Hotel is nice and rooms are in very good condition. Stuff is horrible. My Company has moved me to GP Pomeroy from Dawson Creek Pomeroy Hotel ( 5 stars review for them and FSJ Pomeroy too ) . Here in GP I came dressed in clean work clothes wearing safety west as part of my uniform. At check in some fancy guy shows me disrespect already but it wasn’t the last ! Next morning I try to have breakfast , started collecting food on dish ( there wasn't sign in sheet ) but suddenly some girl tapped my shoulder and asked for my room # , talking to me from very short distance. Two things I don't like happened at same time , touching and breathing in my face ! I showed her my room key, returned back food and went to Reception asking for Supervisor. Supervisor, instead of giving some advice to that girl, supported her telling me that she have to ask for s room # everyone who enters breakfast room . I had nothing to do except suggest them to put some sign in sheet at the entrance, called my Company to change my room for Quality inn ( feel like home place ) and I had to write this review here. Never more !
Podollan Inn & Spa - Grande Prairie

Pros: Room was modern, very high end bathroom amenities. Beds were comfortable. Quite comfortable stay. The free breakfast and coffee is very good and staff in restaurant and checkin desk were polite efficient, and spoke good English. Cons: Arms on the couch were filthy, probably stained by some previous guest that might have just changed the engine in his car. Air conditioner did not cool the room at all, luckily opening the window at night cooled the room to a comfortable 21 ° . No ice machine on the main floor, had to go up to the 2nd floor for some. Lobby was hot too! Restaurant was hot even in the morning, they had a portable air conditioner on the floor aiming at us, but it wasn’t enough as it was exhausting the hot air out the back into the same room!
