The environment of the inn is very good. There is a lively market right outside the door. The service attitude of the store is very good 👍 If it is not a holiday, I really want to stay there for a few more days. I will stay at his house next time I come!

We spent two wonderful nights at Yungang Hotel in Datong. First of all, our deepest gratitude to Yang wen yuan - 杨文元. When booking from Europe, we did not realise correctly the time required to get to the caves and to the hanging monastery (a must view when in Datong). We thought that by using public transport we could manage to do both in a short period of time. So wrong! We arrived and Yang wen yuan - 杨文元 reassured us and in less than 30 minutes he was able to help and book for us a private car for the next day. He made our stay unforgettable. Thanks a lot from both of us if you are reading ! Plus, this hotel is wonderful : super new, technological and the staff is super kind (from the ones in the lobby to the ones in the restaurant/cafeteria). Breakfast is amazing. You can have everything, freshly made for you.

This Inn is managed by a family that is very nice. Once you arrive from the train station (Pingyaogucheng) with a taxi, they come to pick you up to the Inn (2 min) because the taxi isn't allowed inside the ancient city. They offer to drive you one way to or from the train station (it's free). I was in a room with a traditional atmosphere (with a kang bed having a mattress a little harder than others).

Staff: definitely the top reason to stay here, they made our stay unforgettable and went the extra mile to help us out organize our excursions, thanks for everything! Nice place, Nice location; you can walk to the Ancient town, I took along time to catch nice scene along the city wall, park and canal. To get the hotel from Datong South Railway Station by bus no.31 from the bus station side(the area is connected), take around 30 minutes to get there (Yungang Jianguo hotel, the hotel is opposite, only 2 CNY, many food and minimart around there. There is Muslim food there if need(next to the entrance of C(behind the building). Nice service, self check-in, clean room and relaxing. the owner, you should to contact the owner before arrive, she so friendly and always help you, she suggested us about the famous local food and restaurants(Thank you so much). If you need to buy some necessary item and cannot buy at the around minimart, you can walk to the Yonghui Superstore by East side (the next junction) turn right to Yuhe West rd. (At the corner). From the hotel tobget Yungang Grottoes, you can take bus no. 31 (Yungang Jianguo side), get off at Shi Li Dian Cun Xi ( West Shilidian village), cross to another side and catch bus no.12 to the terminal stop(is Yungang Grottoes. Take 1 hour or 1.30 to get there.

The hotel is centrally located not far from the main shopping area and less than 10RMB by taxi to the historic palace area. The rooms are modern, clean and very comfortable with sufficient room. Lovely breakfast was included and the restaurant on the second floor serves lunch and diner. Gym on the top floor, friendly staff and a good price, I will definitely stay here again.

This lovely hotel gets 6 out of 5 stars!! It is located a 5 min. Walk from the main street, not too far of the gate where you can catch a taxi to the train station. However the hotel organised a pickup from the gate, which they did not charge for. The room is probably the best room we have rented ever, definitely in this price range you won't find a better one. It was super clean, new, huge comfortable bed, everything was working as advertised. The bathroom is super modern with the most advanced toilet. Outside the room is a lovely sitting or smoking area where you can chill. The host is really attentive and friendly, perfect. I can recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed!!

The service is very good. I forgot my clothes in the room and they contacted us in time to deliver them to my home. The location is excellent, especially suitable for family travel. Another wonderful stay with the lovely Pipa Inn. If you travel to the gorgeous old town of Datong, this is where you must stay!!! The staff are so friendly, the rooms and hotel are beautiful, great location in the middle of the old town and the inn can arrange a driver to get you to all the historical sights. Highly recommend.

Excellent central location steps away from the best street, very friendly and helpful manager who helped us with a car and laundry. The room was clean, with a big bed and great bathroom/shower, good AC too. Everything was perfect

Another wonderful stay with the lovely Pipa Inn. If you travel to the gorgeous old town of Datong, this is where you must stay!!! The staff are so friendly, the rooms and hotel are beautiful, great location in the middle of the old town and the inn can arrange a driver to get you to all the historical sights. Highly recommend.

It's just across the street from Huayan Temple. Go there when it opens at 8am to avoid tour groups and large crowds. The room is large, and the upstairs is quiet, clean, and thoughtfully provides disposable bath towels and toilet seats, as well as body lotion and facial cleanser. The proprietress is kind and friendly. Datong is not cold at the end of October. Come and experience the charm of ancient buildings in Shanxi! A small suggestion, it would be more convenient to install a full-length mirror behind the door.

When we arrived we were given the wrong room in B tower with single beds, we had to go back downstairs and show the booking again to request the correct double room in A tower. The rooms and amenities are old, and the fridge is broken. I called reception who told me to bring any items I want to cool down to the reception and use their fridge, when I asked if we can swap the broken fridge for a working fridge, they said all of the fridges are like this. They won't admit the fridges are all broken, but all of the fridges in the hotel are warm and won't make your food / beverages cold. The hotel is in dire need of an upgrade, and they need to replace the fridges.

I came to Datong with my wife. I browsed on Ctrip for several days and finally chose this All Seasons. As expected, I was not disappointed. The hotel environment is beautiful and warm, the room is clean and comfortable, with smart bathroom curtains, tea table night light latex pillows, and the shower water is particularly strong. There is also a laundry room with drying, handrails in the elevator, and free fruit in the lobby. These details are perfect and impeccable! I especially like the breakfast, which is very rich and tastes as good as a hotel! Everything is delicious, different every day, and the ingredients are fresh and taste like home! As this was my first time traveling alone, choosing a hotel was a difficult problem, but staying at Dadan Hotel dispelled my previous concerns. It takes less than 20 minutes to walk to Yongtai South Gate, the south gate of the ancient city. Taking a taxi is the starting price. It is within walking distance to Longjuxiang, Zini 369, Huayan Temple and Shanhua Temple. Buses can reach Yungang Grottoes, Datong Museum, art galleries, etc. If you don’t have too high requirements for breakfast, you can walk 50 meters to Mr. Li. All in all, the experience was very good and I will come again next time.

It's hard to fault this hotel. Very modern, very clean, and in an excellent location for those using Datong South 大同南站, which you can see from the hotel itself. There isn't a whole lot to do in the surrounding area, so I mightn't recommend basing yourself here for an entire Datong trip. However, as I arrived at 3am, it was a perfect spot to get a good nights sleep. I can't give it a full 5/5 though as, for a rather generic (though indeed clean and modern) chain-style hotel room in a smaller city like Datong, I found the price to be quite expensive at over 400rmb per night.

This is the best and value for money hotel I stayed in last 12 days trip from Beijing, Datong, Taiyuan, Pingyao, Xian. The room is nice, breakfast is good, hotel room even provide you with a washing machine in tge room with detergent free. Highly recommended and great for longer stay. Cheers

Amazing location, right next to taiyuan south rail station. But it is far from town. It is great if you are just catching the fast train. Service is fine but nothing extraordinary. It is very clean. Spread at breakfast is decent but no coffee. If you need coffee, don't come here

The hotel is clean and bright. It is very convenient to Taiyuan South Station. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the station. The most satisfying thing is that the breakfast is delicious. The noodles are delicious. The side dishes are also delicious. The lemonade and snacks are also delicious. It’s a pity that there is no lemonade in the morning. The roadside stalls behind in the evening are also delicious, especially the cold noodles. The portion is large, cheap and delicious. The disadvantage is that the room is not very soundproof. Even if the window is closed, you can still hear the sound of vehicles outside. You can bring your own earplugs.

Around the hotel are many restaurants and shops along with the giant MixC shopping mall. The hotel boasts a range of high-quality amenities including a SPA, gym and excellent swimming pool. The downstairs restaurant is also excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, which has many options available. The rooms are well-appointed with modern furniture and comfortable beds. The rooms are large and offer plenty of space too. Staff are very helpful and attentive and also speak good English. Highly recommended and my favorite hotel In Taiyuan!

The hotel is really nice and in the authentic style of Pingyao. It is quite closed from the east gate and from the ancient city center. The owner is really friendly, speaks good English and is doing everything to make you enjoy your stay. He did explained very well all the activity and provide help if needed. The room is clean and we didn't care about the size as we were out all day. If I have to suggest one thing, it will be to have bigger mattresses as they are quite hard but it's a personal preference.

The hotel is in the ancient city. The store will contact you in advance to tell you the best route. The B&B environment is good and the night view is even more beautiful. There is no dry and wet separation bathroom. There are hard kangs and beds. It is not the peak tourist season, so you can choose whatever you want.

He responds promptly when communicating via WeChat. The young lady in the store is really nice. We sat at the south gate when we went there. The boss promptly arranged for the young lady to pick us up and drop us off when we left. When I arrived at the bus stop, I gave various instructions, which was very considerate, and even gave me some old vinegar! Next time I have a chance to come to Pingyao, I will lock in this place!

I took my kids out to play and stayed at Yunjincheng Mansion. It is a very good hotel. Before I came, the housekeeper Juaner contacted me and sent me some travel information. She was very considerate. She indicated the route on the day of check-in. In order to consider the traffic jam problem for the guests, she arranged staff to pick them up in advance. The journey was smooth. The staff took the luggage throughout the journey. I was very satisfied. The service is really the ceiling of the hotel. Very beautiful guesthouse with amazing patios! Very nice owners! The lady can speak English and help book tours with a guide which helped us a lot. Breakfast available, both Chinese and continental. Very good location within the old city, close to one of the main streets. We loved our stay there and highly recommend this guesthouse!
